Even with Petrino, Arkansas didn't have as many players drafted as Wisconsin

I just looked at his last 4 recruiting classes at Wisconsin, they avg. around 60th in the nation. A couple of years ago it was ranked 87th. With the talent he has had to work with, he has done an impressive job. He'll definitely get better talent at Arkansas. Will be interesting to see how he does this year. May surprise some folks.

That's all well and good, but those teams still had plenty of good players, regardless of the recruiting rankings. And more importantly, he was playing shite competition. The B1G has one good team in any given year. Usually Ohio State. And they have had some problems recently too.

Given those recruiting rankings, do you think Saban could have done any better at Wisconsin during the same time period? It would be tough. I never realized he had done more with less until I checked today.

Just like Arkansas football. All expectations and nothing to show for it.

No it counts. But so does Utah State. An offense that can't click against mediocre teams, even one that can lay the wood on a decent opponent, will not be successful against an SEC schedule.

You're losing this argument quickly. So what your saying is he cant compete in the SEC because he barely beat an inferior team but demolished a good team.

Using that logic. He barely beat Louisiana Tech. Without a defense that cant click aginst mediocre teams even if you lay the wood to a decent team he will never be successful in the SEC. Game, set and match. Bye bye. Thanks for playing.

This is where you change the subject now. Go ahead. I know you want to.

People always bring up how the Big 10 is some shite conference, but it's still much better than the ACC. Well some shite team from the ACC embarrassed one of the best teams in the SEC so we should simmer down on all the conference disparity talk.

i'd be way more concerned if he brought that wisky offensive staff but I don't think he retained a single member of his staff on the offensive side.

Recruiting rankings don't lie.

That doesn't fit the agenda here.
