Yeah, They try stuff in early games and see what works best. What I like about this staff is that they constantly adjust.

I agree with that as well sideline is a big thing. Its cool that he trust his players but at times it looks like he gets to relaxed on the sidelines.

Id like to see fire when we dont play well for a half vs a team we should dominate.

a perfect example was les's reaction to the bullshite pi against us at washington. He just stood there and had a chat with the ref.

Well this season looks like a 9/10 win season and a decent bowl game.

Looking at schedule
Miss State
La Tech
Tulane

are all gimme wins to me

Then
Ole Miss
Georgia
Arkansas
Auburn

are toss ups

Bama/Florida will be a game if LSU plays up to the level of opponent type of game and they could steal 1 of those.

So the 3 gimmes put us at 6-0 if we split the 4 toss ups we are 8-2 and even if we drop both Florida/Bama we are 8-4 with bowl game left to go 9-4.

I do not know about Les but I can speak for Saban even in practice if you were playing like shite he was going ape shite on you. If there were cameras allowed in back then they would have so much youtube footage of his outburst. He treated practice like an actual game.

I just dont see les bringing the same fire. I like the poised look but at some point you have to rip someone apart.

Well that was issue with Dinardo remember? People felt he was too lax on the players and they lacked discipline. At some point the players have to be held accountable for their actions as well, it is just too bad that is usually after their coach is gone. That is part of reason you see teams improve so much when they get a new coach and regress the following year. They seem to play above and beyond their ability for 1 year in a prove it type mode.

i agree with your gimmie games

I am not as confident yet in the toss ups.

uga on the road is going to be tough, auburn at home is good for us bc of it being later in the year so maybe injuries hurt them bc they have no depth. I do worry that gus is going to pick chavis apart though.
ole miss is hard to tell right now. they haven't played anyone and they have a history of suckage and a coach that usually doesnt live up to high expectations.

arkansas has no d but unless our o gets better they are a massive problem. I think arky has a better d than ull and we saw all the problems ull caused us.

bama i still say is a toss up all they have done is beat up on fiu/north texas and beat the overrated va tech. They are a good team with a great d but im not sold on their o just yet. I do worry that upchurch will kill our piss poor no form tackling d. i can see coleman with cleat marks on his chest now.

UF will take all we have in us to beat them.

Seeing Meyer at practice is something else. He made me want to put the pads on and go kill someone with a good clean hit of course.

yea dinardo was spending time on the sideline playing with grass instead of ripping into players. I will never forget watching him crouch down and play with grass during a game.

this is true but even at night discussion cant be had about any real concerns on the tiger rant.

you have the head in the sand posters that have no other come back than 3-0 when any doubt is raised about the team and anyone saying we need to improve before we play a real team.

Arkansas and Georgia showed they had no defense, that in turn could make our offense actually look better than it is. LaFell/Toliver should be able to routinely abuse their secondary and it should open up gaps for Williams/Scott.

Ole Miss I find them a tad overrated, they are a good team but not worthy of the #4 ranking. I think they finish the season around 11-15 range when it is all said and done. They are getting better but they are not there yet.

Auburn they look like they will be a problem honestly I could see them beating LSU by 10 or LSU over them by 10.

Bama I do not think VT is overrated. I think all offseason we underrated their Offense. McElroy looks like he was just stuck behind JPW because JPW was the senior who had started many games not because he was more talented.

Florida again LSU is just as talented and will depend on which LSU team wants to show up.

Well when they bring that up I tend to ask people were Washington/Vandy/ULL not trying to win the game? Were they cardboard cut outs that were there too look pretty?

Sure we can say they were not legit teams but at least we didn't drop one we were not suppose too. I would certainly take 3-0 over 2-1,1-2, or 0-3 right now.

Those same that claim 3-0 you can ask if they are concerned about the perfomance of the team so far. If they say no, then you know they are only boxscore followers.

while arky and uga cant stop people i still think they have way better d's than ull could ever dream of having. also their o will prob march down the field on us considering we cant get pressure on ull's qb very often.

Ill be happy if we win against the toss up teams. Any win against them is a good win. My problem with ugly wins comes in the games where we should dominate like ull, state and such. Of course id rather the ugly win than loss but it seems we havent learned much from close games yet

I can tell you at practice it was not unusual for Saban to grab a player by a facemask and pull him around the practice field to show him where he messed up and how he needs to fix it.
You would swear the little man still wished he could put on pads and show the players how it was done.

well they are in threads questioning performance of our oline and such so that leads me to believe they think all is well in tigerland. I def like being 3-0 and yea those teams aren't just going to roll over for us but it seems like the team thinks they will.

But LSU's issue is not in secondary but front 4, LSU should get their share of turnovers from Arkansas/UGA throwing the ball. LSU moved well against that same UGA defense last year with Lee back there as QB. I think Jefferson may start to trust teammates more in 2 weeks than he does now.

Ugly wins do not help, we are 3-0 and have moved up 2 spots in polls even with multiple teams ahead of us losing. Had we dominated those teams we may be in discussion of top 5 right now.
Was a discussion today if LSU were to win every game by 1 for rest of season would we jump an undefeated Cal, Texas, Penn State and play for National Title.

our players seem to have learned better with that style than what is happening now.

also at some point we have to question if its possible that all of our highly recruited d line men are bust or if its a coaching/scheme problem.
