Much as I hate to admit it, and god knows it isn't often, but the hick Barn gnomes were right about something.
Baton Rouge DOES have the background odor of a corndog, and it does seem to ... er ... "cling" to, or permeate, everything and everyone.. not that there's anything wrong with it.

Yeah, no. Tuscaloosa does smell like a tire plant though. BW River also smells like trash. I'm blessed that I do not live in Alabama anymore

i'll give you half credit on that- there was the whole suitcase mike suitcase mike suitcase mike stuff and he's never suitcased us, suckcased us at times maybe but no suitcase.

In fairness, I think the suitcase moniker was still accurate. But nobody expected him to suitcase on Arkansas...that was always his dream job.
Mike Anderson peaked in 08-09 though.

Hell, Auburn fans told us "recruiting isn't everything", they called all us Bammer's "star gazers".... and they'd take Tommy Tuberville and his "diamonds in the rough" over a snake oil salesman like Saban. Oh, and Gene Chizik was going to clean Saban's clock every single year and Trooper/Looper were going to kick arse in recruiting and the Gus Bus was going to roll through "Jerdan Hare West" like a freight train.

Updyke - Embarrassing, yes. But I dont think any real Bama fan ever tried to defend him.
