even if it is in jest I'm surprised some of the good bammers in here decided to go rouge. Kind of out of character for a few.

I've had MSU buddies telling me for years that OM cheats in recruiting...even heard of some of the "secret cabin" story summed up in one word...boats&hoes. I never believed it because they had no Trophies, no 10 win seasons and plenty of mediocrity spread throughout their time in the SEC.

Turns out MSU fans were right all along...

Petrino was scum.

I think most Arkansas fans would admit that even when he was here, but winning was fun.

With the shitty timing, what other option did they have besides Bobby's brother?

Exactly, Most saw it wasn't ideal but it was a tough spot to be in during April. It gave us no time to find a legit coach.

I just can't make up my mind about Lyle. Some of the stuff he's done has been great, sometimes I wanna throw a brick at the motherfricker.

I just can't buy in yet.

He's still learning. The good news about that is he is learning. The bad news is well he is still coming into his own as a coach and we get to watch those mistakes happen.

OTOH, no Tennessee fan should be expected to buy into anyone without some amount of evidence. Even if Saban himself showed up to coach the Vols, skepticism would be an absolutely justifiable position. You can't go through the number of coaches we have in such a short amount of time and not exactly develop some sort of distrust or neurosis as a battered fan.

Though I no longer have the emotion about it, the biggest one for me was Logan Young and the Memphis payoffs. Everybody was claiming they knew stories of Logan Young and like most Bama fans, I blew it off as sour grapes.

Then they dropped the hammer.

That Steele wasn't going to be very good. I tried to have hopes, but tbh I knew they were right.

Note to Aubbie fans: [in Obi-Wan voice] Steele is not the DC you are looking for...move along.

What are we supposed to be humble about?

When Saban was hired, every fan on here said:
He'll never stay longer than 3 yrs
He'll never recruit like he did at LSU
He's only looking for the next big paycheck
He'll never win at Bama like the did at LSU
He's going to the NFL after every damn season
He's going to Cleveland, they will offer part ownership
He's going to Texas - too much money to turn down
He hates the Bama fanbase
He hates Tuscaloosa
He's a dumbass..lol...he hired Lane fricking Kiffin...lol

the truth is there simply is not much at all in the last 10 years and there is a whole SHITLOAD the other way that they will NEVER own up to themselves. It's just the way it really is.

Too easy. It's not hard to admit something about a coach who left you for a lateral hire and who you now hate. Key word is "begrudgingly."

For Alabama I will admit that Scott Cochran is a tool and his "yea yea yea" shite is annoying as hell. Also, Alabama STILL has a HUNH/spread problem. We have been talented enough to overcome it most of the time, but we still have no answer for a HUNH/spread team with a good QB.

There's not a perfect defense for every offense you face.
