The execution was flawless?

We had three penalties in the first drive, one procedural

We then had a delay of game followed by a illegal shift on the 4th drive

Why are people freaking lying to themselves

We bitchslappws BYU with a les power offense because that is what the BYU defense presented to us

Canada said he calls his offense based on the defense he is playing. Well he gets an A+ for me last night. But I don't have to get pissy and make shite up to feel better about it

The commentator literally said Canada runs 6 plays. Just window dresses them. Simple route tree.

We have triple options, speed option, shuffle passes and RPO's with counters and constraints built into each. Please don't be willfully ignorant bro.

Did I ever say the execution was flawless? No, I did not. The first drive we had some mistakes, which are going to happen in the first game of a new system. I also mentioned getting the play in on time. No one is making up anything. Good lord.

That said, if you can't see a difference between the way the team played last night versus what we saw the last couple of seasons, I don't know what to tell you.

Then you had no idea what you were watching. So, thanks, I guess, for your utterly worthless and uninformed opinion.

The biggest jump is supposedly from game one to game 2.

Game 2 ot Les/Cam last year against FCS JSU Harris and Etling's combined stat line:

7/18 108 yds 1td 1int

You tell me what was different

Y'all are letting the pre snap window dressing fool you

We lined up tight on the line and ran between the tackles

And who gives a flying frick that we did. That is what the defense presented keeping the safeties back and getting destroyed up front

Guys, not everything about les is bad. One thing he did good was power football against weaker teams

bullshite. The offense was disjointed a ton vs the lesser opponents.

I'm not an LSU fan. With that being said, all these fricktards making such a big deal out of the first game of the season need to go suck on there mothers tit to make them feel more secure. Damnit man! Most teams played inferior teams and you're not gonna see all of the offense or anything else to get your fricking virgin balls aching. It's the first game of the fricking season for Christ's sake. Be happy your team won (besides Florida) and chill the frick out till your team actually plays someone with a pulse.

Our play calling kept their safeties back. We ran the ball successfully against 6 in the box instead of 8. Canada showed them why they should play a little deeper.

Les would have just pounded it against 8 and hoped they were burned out in the fourth. Our passing game also showed a little newness. The triangle was working OK for us. Etling had no issues reading the coverage for the triangle.

This is different from being 3rd and 9 and hoping Malachi can go up and get the 35 yard pass.

Also, we ran the jet sweep a couple of times early. This means they have to defend against the man in motion Instead of just loading the box and waiting for the running back.

It sure seemed different to me.

All Miles had to do is use motion and add a jet sweep and it's the exact same offense.

I saw nothing different last night, just a bunch of running the ball between the tackles with the play action pass once the defense started cheating toward the run

They spread the field, at least alluding to the possibility of the pass. That forced BYU to keep six in the box instead of eight. Why throw if they've only got six in the box? Occasionally, LSU also threw on first down, and Etling had a high completion percentage because he wasn't asked only to throw on third-and-long.

Also, I'm sure LSU didn't empty the playbook to give the rest of the SEC tape for the rest of the season. Why do more in Week 1 than what you need to do to win?

Had LSU not self-destructed with some penalties, especially in the red zone, the Tigers win by 45. Had Miles been coaching, it would have been a 10-point win with the game in doubt until the last five minutes.

Yet LSU fans are acting like Matt Canadas is a messiah who single handedly reinvented college football offense and is already guaranteed to win coordinator of the year

There was also never any pressure on the LSU offense because of the BYU offense not producing anything

2 week bump. Look at all those downvotes

I think you could see this coming but I think lsu is one of those teams that could peak in late october/november.
