OL. Huge, strong guys can dominate opposing DL in HS, even in a 6A district, while having meh footwork. Guys without good footwork get embarrassed in college, regardless of their size and strength.

How refreshing...Another Malzahn obsessed Hog. Sorry he beat your team in high school or whatever other juvenile grudge you carry toward him

It's more personal than that.

Here's his post from another thread

I can't wait to see Auburn host A&M in week 3. The loser of that game could very well be looking at having to fire their head coach.

I don't think he realizes that Auburn fans aren't in love with Gus anymore. He's about 2 years late

Nah, I get it.
It's just that everyone likes watching a train wreck, ya know. Or, hard to look away. Whatever it is.
That week 3 game between Auburn and A&M is going to be a great game, and I mean that in all seriousness. Those two coaches will be coaching for their jobs.

Yeah, I've seen that movie.
What does that have to do with you talking about something I said in another thread, on an unrelated subject?

I would say WR's because some don't have QB's to get them the ball.

DBs from my experience

DBs have the biggest leap to make outside of QBs and maybe OTs.

your average high school DB hasn't faced a legit college WR/QB.

Same can be said for college to the NFL

This is because your coach is still too soon removed from being a high school head coach. The Gus Malzahn thing was always a ticking time bomb. He was a somewhat innovative coach in the high school ranks who won a lot of games, and because of this he catapulted to the ranks of D1 head coach in just a few years. He is now out of his league. He isn't called High School for nothing, and he is gonna show his arse again this year.

The butthurt Arky fans have for Gus is hilarious. He ditched that shithole program 9 years ago? Let it go.

Are you talking about scouting for recruiting purposes? If so, offensive linemen and defensive backs.

Easiest is DT.

Agree with this and the hardest BY FAR is O-line.
Hell, even when you think you have a certified stud these guys can regress year to year in college.

Not really, you can usually tell by their Sophomore year how legitimate they are.

Coming out of high school, unless they've played in a super competitive league, DBs are almost a crap shoot. The tangibles are simple (speed, hgt and wt,etc), but unless they've played against great wide receivers with major college level QBs in high school on a regular basis(very doubtful), you can't get a good feel for the kid's intangible talents. There are some college recruiters/scouts who do a great job with them, but those are few and far between.

Maybe, but you'll know very quickly if they can play. Not so much with O-lineman. Some can be a total shite show through a redshirt year and the next and then develop in to a very productive player.Tangibles play a much higher role for a db's future success as compared to an O-lineman
