Don't piss in a non-designated location (don't wander into alleys), don't drunkenly wander into the street at night, put drinks in cups, etc. Basically, just don't be an idiot. ACCPD has a lot to deal with on gamedays. Just don't make yourself an easy target.

Best possible advice. It isn't hard to get caught but 9 out of 10 times it's brought on by a frick up.

Really? Well, since you asked, don't be a prick, don't act like a prick, don't smell like corn dogs and don't walk around with an open container...even if it is in a cup.

Pffft. Athens cops are a joke. If a weeny bicycle cop rolls up and wants to see your id, just throw your drink in his face and remind him that your taxes pay his salary, and there are rapists on the loose he should be concentrating his time on.

What kind of bars could we get into with shitty fakes?

Bourbon street is the freshman bar so I would assume there. I haven't been there in years though. When I was in school the fake friendly bar was Classic City, but it's been about 10 different things since then. That was actually the first bar I'd ever been inside in my life, I was 19. And I didn't actually use a fake, someone was presenting their ID and I snuck over the little wooden fence outside behind the bouncer

I mean I don't look like I'm way too young to be 21 but I definitely don't look old enough to not worry about it

Let's see...

last weekend I walked from baxter and milledge down to lumpkin, took a left and walked to DT, then walked through downtown to the indigo hotel, all the while having beer in a solo cup and a box of miller lite under my arm. Chugging the whole way. Stopped several times to open a new beer and pour it in the cup.

never had any issues.

I figure you're good to go at buddha bar, double barrel, bourbon, whiskey bent and a few others. Just sucks cause those are all gonna have annoying lines because everyone and their brother will be out just like when Cackalacky comes here.

And I am sure I am missing a few here, some of the bars I frequented pre-21 are already shut down and I end up at the same damn bars every time these days.

I drank two budlights without even using a solo cup from Foley to Sanford and had no issue. You really kinda have to act an arse to get caught.

If your ID is real and is somewhat reasonable, you're fine.

I mean most people probably won't have issues, but I've had alcohol infractions in the past so I play it safe with a cup.

And the guy that's asking isn't 21, so he definitely should.

That's all on campus. On campus you can drink whenever you want. It's when you step off campus that you get busted. Had a friend a couple years ago get caugh walking with a mimosa in a solo cup downtown before the game. Ticket.

Exactly.

It's technically illegal, but unless you give them a reason to hassle you, like jay walking or screaming at people, or otherwise drawing attention to yourself, you'd have to be a pretty unlucky mofo to get cited for it on gameday.

ETA- I'm not kidding about the jaywalking, for those of you from out of town... people get killed crossing the street in Athens every year, it's something the cops are deadly serious about.

Double barrel is the only one I don't know.

Was bourbon really not there when you were?

Good point

And no worries man, i hardly even keep up with them these days. I just went to Cloud which used to the Loft and it's crazy now. These bars have an expected life of like 2-3 years, they are in constant rotation

Hell, I feel like I am forgetting several bars and even worse I am sure I don't even know of a few. I'm getting complacent.

bourbon street yes, I guess I had a brainfart and thought there was a bar just called 'bourbon'. I didn't put 2 and 2 together.
