what are the visiting seating sections in the stadium?
Looks like it's already been answered. The majority of LSU tickets will be in the 600 section which is the very top deck, probably in the 601-605ish area. There will be a smattering of the same in the 300s, which is just below the 600s. This is the former upper deck. The lucky ones will be in the 100s in the same area (101-105ish) which is the little corner by the endzone on the north side of the stadium.
All LSU tickets will be on the north side of the stadium, so if you're walking from the bars you'll be close to your gate.

Me and a buddy are driving in from Marietta for the day. Thinking of just finding parking and hitting the bars right off campus pregame since its an early kickoff.
This is what we're going to do. Mamosa's at the apartment and then cabbing it downtown. Check out Magnolia's. It's on Broad Street just past the gates of North Campus about 100 yards down from the Arch. Big bar with a really good beer selection and large TV's.

hopefully they are as good as he says they are. I've never looked forward to going to an away game as much as this one. Always heard good things about Athens.

frick that noise.
There just isn't much green space to park an rv for a bunch of people. I'd go with what WG was suggesting. You can walk to the stadium and it's right off of Greek Row. Not a bad spot at all.

We don't have an RV. Just a truck and a 6x8 trailer.

At any rate, you are guaranteed to have plenty of space for everything you're bringing and that many people.

Think we'll go that route or the triangle we talked about last week.

The dirt triangle? Keep in mind it is NOT very big and I have no idea how early people get there (like might park on friday). All I remember is that in 09 that whole plot was LSU folks.

:BUMP:
What are some good bars to hit up Friday night? 4-5 of my buddies and I will be in Athens all weekend. We're all 23
TIA

That's the best plan, unless you already have a $500 parking pass somewhere.

I park for free in a first come first park lot that's a 3 wood away from downtown and an easy walk to the stadium. Just gotta get there early.

Just gotta get there early. North Deck is $20 first come first serve. Same as the rest of the decks on campus.

I 'm talking to out of towners.
Locals know what to do, and aren't stupid enough to give away their secrets on the interwebs, see?
ETA-
Gata.... noone wants to tailgate in a fricking parking deck.
2 decks downtown, park there, get drunk and eat food and let someone else clean it up, walk 8 minutes to stadium for game.

Ah very true. I'm dreading the day that I come to the first home game and Adams has decided to make the lot permit only.
for about 10 years me and my cousin parked behind the anthropology building, when you're coming down jackson and it hits the intersection of baldwin st, there's that little driveway on the left that curves back around the building. We used to park there forever, and when I lived in rivermill I'd park there friday night. One year, I think it was 2009, we get there at about 7 and it's frickin permit only.
it's only a matter of time before there is no free parking anywhere close to the stadium anymore.
