To your point, though, LSU went 8-5 in 2014, and will go either 8-3 or 7-4 in the 2015 regular season. That's 2 unacceptable seasons back-to-back.
In which most our main weapons were freshmen and sophomores both seasons. If I have any issues with Les Miles' regime it's that our best players leave way too early and we're always fielding young talent.

You're preaching to the choir regarding Les. I love the man.
Lots of early departures, Yes. Lots of youth, Yes. Unfortunately in this league with Saban never letting off the gas pedal, you can't let those things happen, as we did with some spotty-in-places recruiting which left some voids and vulnerabilities. And if you do end up with vulnerabilities (defensive line, LB, QB), you better damn well offset it and pick up the slack on the other side of the ball.
It's been a helluva ride with Les, but the next chapter of LSU football is upon us. Will it be better or worse?... No way to know, probably even a better chance of it being worse, but LSU football will continue and Les certainly left the LSU program in an equal or better place than when he got here.
Thankful for Saban having built LSU back into a power. Thankful for Miles having maintained that power and elevetating the program's national stature. We've been lucky as LSU fans to witness it all. Looking forward to watching the next man up at LSU.
