Yeh, I was talking about on the rant. I'm sure most aren't. Just like LSU fans on here acting like we will easily win. (which is stupid)

Well, LSU is No. 7 nationally in yards per play and NUMBER ONE in yards per rush. That INCLUDES games against TWO top 20 defenses. So, do we still suck on offense?
Oh, and against Wisconsin, Leonard ran for 6.0 YPC against a defense allowing 3.32. And against Auburn, we ran as a team for 6.9 YPC against a defense allowing 3.72.

Matchups. I believe the Bama guards and center are a little better than D. Riley, E. Alexander, and D. Godchaux. Beckwith is the exception. I am not sure if you notice Riley, but he does not match up well with those big lineman, and if the RB can get to that level it can be a long night. Riley had the best game of his life last week, but that is due to him playing in coverage on 80% of the plays.
Bottom line is this: If the middle can stay healthy, and limit Bama to some short runs we can win this game.

We have the best defense Bama will face. If we bottle up the run, including Hurts scrambling, I don't think bama can beat us in the air.

I think LSU has a pretty solid offense (and has for the last few years). The problem for LSU is their offense still, even with the new wrinkles, is the type of offense Alabama feasts on.
As further proof, look at LSU's same stats in prior years (including last season).
Yards Per Play
2016 - 8th
2015 - 17th
2014 - 62nd
2013 - 7th

I think you are missing a bigger point.
Alabama D is an O as well.
How many other teams wish they could score as well on offense as Alabama has been doing on defense?

I fully expect Alabama to gash LSU on the ground. The offensive line might be the best in the country. LSU doesn't really have a plugger in the middle and deploys tweener guys like Godchaux, Gilmore, and Neal.
Having said that, don't you worry about us sticking to it. I can assure you that will not happen until the 3rd or 4th quarter.

Biggest question is can LSU stop Alabama with their base front and leave their safeties back to read pass and more specifically to play the option/counter run game. If their front guys can hold their own then Alabama will have trouble. If they have to bring up LBs and Safeties on blitzes to stop the run then Alabama is going to bust some big ones.
Same thing on the other side, as usual.

No, I'm not missing that point. If Alabama scores once on D or ST, we are in big trouble. If it happens twice, fuhgeddaboutit. But, even though they've scored in 10 straight games, I still don't think you can necessarily rely on getting those kinds of points. Another thing, if they were to get that kind of score, LSU has the capability of getting it back the same way, like with Donte Jackson returning kicks or with Tre White getting a pick six.

We'll see. Bottling up a triple option, and make no mistake, we are running a spread triple option with predetermined reads, requires discipline and committing guys to the box. The guy running routes on Jackson or Tolliver is a better football player than the kid covering him, be it Ridley or Stewart. Howard on Beckwith or Riley is a mismatch. Hurts might not be able to beat LSU through the air, but he's going to have open receivers

Alabama has a non offensive touchdown in 10 straight games, there hasn't been a kickoff returned for a touchdown in tiger stadium in 3 or 4 decades. It's just as likely that Mack Wilson knocks that kid's head off his shoulders

I have never seen so many insecure tiger fans on this site that I can recall. I mean some of these posters are a sad bunch.
In reality I think most UA fans realize it will be a tough game. Especially at night in TS. But I have never seen so many rival fans try to convince their self they have a chance. Please all LSU fans stay away from the edge of a building for the next few weeks. I really enjoy the entertainment and would hate for number of posters to decline.

You don't against lesser defenses. You might have to against a team that stone cold stops your offense.
