I don't want to see Ole Piss get the death penalty for one. Seeing them get sodomized on game day every year is enjoyable, and I don't want to lose that.

Add up the combined scores of the OM vs LSU games for the past 20 years or so and tell me your definition of sodomy.

If you lose to OM almost half the time, how are you ever gonna win the West again?

After Galen Hall ran Florida into trouble, The UF athletic dept has made a firm decision to NEVER run afoul of the NCAA. And every coach since then has been clean as a whistle.

after Charley Pell. Galen Halls violations fell under the habitual offender category, am I correct?

I don't think the severity of the penalty will have anything to do with the severity of the infractions.

The fact has always been (with the NCAA) is "its fine to cheat as long as you are making us money".

It's why bammer never got penalized while they were great and then when they got mediocre, they got hit hard twice.

It's why Auburn would get hammered with penalties in the 60's and 70's but we have done whatever we wanted in the last decade or so without any penalty.

Ole miss' problem is not the cheating.

It's the cheating + no championships that will hurt them.

Watch.

Why do these threads turn into Ole Miss fans saying stupid stuff.

And then creating reaction threads that have even less intelligence?

You might be right about that. In 2010 Cecil Newton admitted shopping Cam, which was a clear violation and Cam should have been ruled ineligible. But, Auburn was heading to a NC and Cam was the best player in the country. So, they changed the rules.

When Bama escaped the death penalty after its 4th major violation in 14 years which fell into the NCAA repeat offender status and the NCAA was stating that Bama was in fact facing the death penalty and they failed to deal the death blow to Bama, the NCAA should never again give the dealth penalty to any program or even suggest a program is facing the death penalty...

The difference is that Bama is a cash cow for the NCAA. Ole Miss, not so much.

I highly doubt they will get the death penalty but they will get the next thing to it. A 3 to 4 year bowl ban and 30 scholarships is not off the table. I could see it in this case. It would give the same lasting effect as the death penalty without actually giving them the death penalty.

this is simply not true. Ole Miss has cooperated with the NCAA to a fault...non cooperation is the 2010 Auburn thing.

No. No they didn't. That's why the investigation continued and more stuff was added. They gave Ole Miss a chance to come clean about things the NCAA already has some evidence of. When Ole Miss failed to do that, the NCAA went back for complete proof.

Two big reasons why you will see the NCAA go in dry and deep on the Rebs.

First, the other SEC coaches have said that if Ole Miss gets off lightly after such blatant infractions, then they will follow suit and the SEC will become the Wild West. I'm not saying there are not improprieties by other programs, just repeating what has been said by other coaches.

Second, Ole Miss has continued to deal under the table while being investigated. It was confirmed the NCAA was back in the state investigating recruiting by Ole Miss THIS year.

Again... I am sure there is shady shite going on everywhere, but thumbing your nose in the NCAA face will surely get you hammered.

I live out of state and don't subscribe to the internet sports pages and I have still heard about all this crap anyway.

and it is this "us against the world" mindset that could facilitate Ole Miss administering quite a few arse kickings this season, including LSU in Baton Rouge...although we haven't needed much motiviation in administering arse kickings in red stick over the past 10 to 15 years or so.

You're kidding here right? The "taking a knee" game alone was a worse beat down that all of the times Ole Miss has managed to luck up on a win against LSU combined.

I'd say kicking the shite out of you 12 of the last 20 games is pretty good. As for your "adding up the scores" theory, everyone knows that Les Miles did not like to run up the score on anyone and yet if you "add up the scores", LSU is still ahead by several touchdowns.

LSU is a modest 2 games over .500 against Ole Miss, a team Tiger fans ridicule as being a bottom feeder in the SEC west over the past 20 years...yet still believe that their team is elite...

I don't know where you are getting your data from but LSU is currently 60-41-4 against Ole Miss...

it was clearly stated by more than one poster that we were taking the past 20 years into account.

60 wins in the last 20 games.... Even the mighty tigers can't pull that off.

Well Ole Miss is a mid level to bottom feeder and while LSU is not elite right now we have been and will get back their long before Ole Miss sniffs a west division title they can hang a banner without the word co-champions...
