What will the hot seat be like for Dooley, if they lose to MTSU?

The people who are the stereotypical redneck Vol fans will be calling for his head and Volnation will crash once again from the "sky is falling" mentality. If we don't win 8 games in 2012 he's gone if we lose to MTSU, Vandy or UK this year.

I hope to see atleast 9-3 next year. That's really not asking much. The schedule next year is significantly weaker.

That sounds about right. 2012 will be a big year for Dooley.

There's nothing worse than a coach that throws his players under the bus.

The shots at the kids are getting a little old. They don't seem to be responding to them..... If it is injuries and youth. Which it is. Say that. Don't take the cheap shots.

What is weird. He takes shots at Palardy but he didn't let Darr punt until late which I never really understood. Darr is the better punter and his kicks showed that.

Love him!

And if Tenn will give him time, I think he can be a good coach. I just don't think Tenn will give him the time to rebuild, which is going to be a while as shorthanded as he was when he took over.

I find it hard to see him coming back in 2013 if UT doesn't win at least 8 regular season games next year, regardless of how the rest of this season goes.

He'll have time to prove himself. He doesn't have to win a title next year. He doesn't even have to do as well as Shula did in year 3. He just has to stop embarrassing himself against every team that isn't awful.

Some of those quotes are paraphrased.

I listened to the press conference and some of those quotes were not quite as bad as they sound with only bits and pieces.

I've heard Spurrier make those kinds of comments at UF. 'Course he was winning 90% of his games.

I'd fire the athletic director if Dooley is let go after two years.

Weekly Dooley Press Conference Quotes

I'm just glad we're off y'all rotation for a few years because Dooley WILL turn things around. I think the Vols win the east within 2 years.

I pray they fire him after 2 years

Exactly what that program needs at this point is more instability

chaos in knoxville makes this Bama heart warm

Dooley will not lose his job after this year, next year he could if things go poorly.

And I'd still fire your terrible AD if Dooley does in fact get canned after next year. A coach needs 3 years at minimum. UT needs to find some stability in all of it's athletic dept, and starting over with a new coach unless UT hits it out of the park with a new hire, they have to hold on to Dooley for at least 3 years.

UT is in a tough position right now no doubt. I am starting to tire of some of the post game comments. This is the time to leave things unsaid and go low key, imo.

Next year will be key for him as people have said.

I just don't see UT trending up. I know you guys are young, etc., but next year will be telling for Dooley.
