Right, no way we could possibly score more points. Especially when you return 1 starter on the DLine, and no returning corners. You lost your GOAT #1 draft pick DE. Weak pass rush and corners with no experience will not go well.

Everyone is so concerned with what a&m lost but manziel was a 3* and our 2nd highest drafted QB out of our last 2 QBs. Clowney had been a #1 draft pick for 4 years running.

According to the rant, he was ineffective all of last year and didn't do anything. So realistically, according to the rant, we didn't lose anyone of note in regards to Clowney.

According to the rant.

Boise St. stuns Ole Miss in a close one

That wouldn't be a stunner. Boise usually wins these games, and Ole Miss isn't as good as most of their game 1 opponents have been over the years.

Pretty good picks, the only 2 I think are iffy are TEXAM and SC , I just don think AM has improved on defense. And I just don't see Boise having the firepower anymore.

But I absolutely think Auburn goes down to Arky. Auburn always starts off sluggish and has an avg season after a Summer in the sun and running their mouths .

No way Auburn loses to Bert at home. Especially not in August. Malzahn will have the gas turned way up and fat boy and co melt.

lol why? Because it is so hard for us to win there? lol since 2000 the Hogs are 4-3 in your stadium. All time we are 5-5-1 in YOUR stadium. Its a intimidating atmosphere you have there.

I just can't see Arkansas keeping up with Auburn.

Yes, it's possible that Arkansas will pull off the upset, but it WOULD be an upset - and a pretty big one at that.

Ya knowwwww ... I see your butthurt at what he posted, I do. I understand your response and why you could not grasp fully what he was saying. But I think you misunderstood, and misunderstand, his point.

The Cock Pit is a hostile place to play - as you will soon discover.

SCAR returns a ton of talent and experience on the DLine, which seems to be your main point of contention. Some are even suggesting we'll be better along the DLine this year, sans the Clowney distraction, than we were last year and that's probably true.

Do your homework, we produce good DLinemen year-in and year-out and we're probably more stacked along the DLine right now than we've ever been. Our pass rush will be well above average, it always is.

Our OLine should be dominant, our running game exceptional and our passing game precision oriented and very efficient. In other words, if we control the ball on offense, your offense will have it fewer minutes that SCAR's ... which has been a trademark of SCAR's gameplan for awhile now. You can't score if you don't have the ball.

Your, A&M's defense, is what is truly suspect ... yet you failed to cover that aspect of the game.

No one is concerned about what A&M lost. No one gives a frick about Manziel - he gone. Same for your WR, whatshisname. We expect your OLine and your offense to be very serviceable. I'm not sure, lulz, what the rest of that last sentence is about?

SCAR is a -9 point favorite in this game already, and it could climb to double-digits by game day.

So he was right, you're wrong ... not many sane people see a way that A&M beats SCAR in the opener this year with all the hoopla and electricity that typically surrounds Williams-Brice for games like this one. Could it happen? Sure it could, it might ... but no one can really picture it happening when they take a moment to weigh all the factors involved in this game, with a clear and analytical mind.

But SCAR fans have been where you are so we get it, we do. It's just not a very realistic approach on your part. Upsets happen in the SEC, they do, (about 1% of 1% of the time), but they're not likely in games such as this one.

Which historical trend do you think is more significant: Arky's road record against AU under HCs who no longer have any connection with your program, or the fact that your current HC has a career record of 2-19 on the road against teams who finish their seasons with 8 or more wins? Including 9 straight losses against such teams dating back to 2011?

When I first read this, I thought you were talking about Manziel until you said Clowney. The Rant said Johnny was a 8-4 scrub. Shouldn't be tough to top him with a 5 star talent.

Yeah...I actually think Arky is going to improve and won't go 0-8 again...and early in the season is their best chance to knock out a ranked team...but Auburn has a full head of steam and way more talent...and Gus won't admit it, but he loathes Bert. While Bert's out on the lake with his high $ escort, Gus is in the film room preparing for this game. Never say never, but it is a very dumb thing to predict.
