So Saban teams are immune from going into a funk. You're probably right. I can't ever remember a Saban team play really well for a good part of the year and then lose, I don't know, say 4 games in a row.
Let me say this, Saban can coach, but he is not perfect. Bammers look for any sign of hope and claim their 13th (or 24th by some of their count) is just around the corner. I'm just not going to sit here and take their "Saban made LSU, now LSU is going back to mediocrity" crap.

I'm an idiot? I gave facts regarding the Shula situation. Refute what I said. Calling me stupid does not change the fact that Shula was put in an impossible situation.

I'm giving credit, but I'm by no means ready to rank them ahead of us. We'll see how they respond to a big physical offensive line.
However, kudos to the tide by having such a young team to go and win big on the road.

My point in all of this is that Shula took over a team coming of probation, Clearly made progress in both recruiting and win/loss records. He was in the NC picture in 05 but fell off at the end of the season losing to both LSU and Auburn. He started off good in 2006 but got on the hot seat after losing to a 10 win Arkansas team, NC Champ Fla team, and 9 win Tenn team. The powers that be started intruding and made his job impossible. The same will happen to Saban if he builds up expectations and then falls off some like he did at LSU. Win a NC this year and it will be expected from now on.
