The SEC is the crown jewel of southern cultural heritage and identity. Saying "frick the sec" is like saying "frick the south's most notable pastime"

Jesus Christ. It never ceases to amaze me the pure narcissism of some LSU fans. As stated many times previously, I pull for ALL SEC teams against out of conference teams. If that makes me a giant homer, IDGAF. LSU folks seem to be the only ones who have a problem with that, so I'll tell you what, I'll just step off of y'all's almighty "coat tails" & root for whomever your opponent is, even if it's a Sandusky prison team. Feel better?

I agree. I dont think he's saying Bama is carrying the torch, but does appreciate their run. I read that as the top tier of the SEC are good, the lower half arent world beaters like the SEC chanters and media would like you to believe

Who's riding coattails in this thread boudreaux? I understand your hate for Arkansas and kind of like it but your anger is best spent elsewhere.

I think you're confused. I was implying that the SEC is in fact not as good as we act like it is, because there are teams who continuously underachieve. (Not just Arkansas).
And the comment about riding coattails was directly correlated to that. Root for whoever you want, but it doesn't make you any better just because you're in the same conference as Alabama/AU this year. The same could be said for LSU this year IMO.
But I'm not an SEC homer, sop that's where we differ. I only root for LSU and a few others. I don't root for every SEC team in every game.
