Tennessee should be the clear cut favorite to win the East next year but they will still somehow manage to lose to UF, will lose to Bama then drop 1 more they shouldn't and finish 2nd.

LSU does not belong in the top 5. After a win over TT? with a new DC that we frankly had no trouble with when our offense absolutely sucked is gonna shut people down. Where is this top coming from?

I agree with you and all but can you agree that LSU may put a little bit better defensive player on the field than what Wisconsin did?

I see some folks are getting started early with over hyping their team. I don't know why yall do it to yourselves every year.

Michigan will be much better than 3 of those 5.

No, No they won't be. They are losing QB, top 2 receivers, and as a team they rushed for 80 yards more than Lenard Fornette.

When you go back and look at the teams they beat and those they lost to, their season wasn't that impressive.

My thoughts are that you have to have some sense of realism in these predictions

Alabama plays both team #2 and team #5. There is no world where all 3 of those teams should be preseason top 5. I think you can realistically only have 1 team from the SEC in the top 5. You have to place emphasis on the games.

OSU is having a mass exodus like FSU had last year. I expect a 10-2 type season but could be very surprised with all the young talent.

Why is everyone in love with Michigan?

I hope Tennessee gets ranked 1 just so the disappointment will be that much greater.

Putting LSU at 2nd? Wha? Has Brandon Harris learned how to throw or something?

Wisconsin has little to no NFL talent on their team and Aranda produced not 1, not 2, but 3 Top 10 defenses in the nation while he was there (Total defense). That's a pretty ridiculous resume considering Wisconsin has put like 3 players in the NFL on defense the last 3 years.

Yes, Bama had a good game against them, Ole Miss also tore your defense a new a-hole too, doesnt mean it wasn't very good still.

Yep. It's a wait and see game every year.

Pre-season top 5 should be:

1. Clemson or Alabama
2. Clemson or Alabama
3. Stanford
4. Ohio State
5. Michigan

Tenn is in the top 15

LSU top 20

Truth but to be honest they were losing almost their entire team last year and won the whole thing. Braxton was supposed to be the QB but almost everyone else, from RB to WR to the entire secondary was new. Brax got hurt obviously so that turned the entire season crazy

As I said I think 10-2 with talent, but they do play @ OU 3rd week of the season, so that could shake things up

Might as well put Ole Miss at 1 since they will never live up to it.
With all that talent, still could not make sec title game.

We certainly were hoping to make the SEC championship this year, but our overall talent level is still not anywhere near Bama or LSU. Every recruiting class Bama has had, including the one with Nkemdiche has been higher. Not to mention, we played 7 games without the #1 overall pick and most of the year without an All-American caliber safety. We finished ahead of LSU because Les Miles is your coach and Brandon Harris is your qb. Those 2 things don't change next year.

LSU will be top 15 in most and top 10 in some next year. Way too much coming back on a 9(*10) win team.

Y'all lost to Anthony Jennings last year when Ole Miss was ranked #3. Let that shite sink in.

This makes no sense. So you are saying that no two conference teams that have not played each other yet should be in the top 5. That is a flawed statement. If they are the best 5 teams in the country at the time of the poll they go in there and let the game they play against each other decide who stays in.

Pre-season polls are all about who they think is going to be in the playoff. That is what sells magazines etc. There is not one poll that will have 3 SEC teams in the top 5 when it comes out.

will have as good of a defense as 3 of those.

Ole Miss' defense wasn't that great this year, and you lose your two best players from said defense
