Why? That's a teachable thing and is often based on timing. Teaching someone to hit the deep ball like he does is much more difficult, which is why arm strength and the ability to throw the deep ball are so valued during the draft

Cringe-worthy is making an arse out of yourself by posting contrarian nonsense that has no basis in reality, and then defending that stance as if it was your first-born son.

Who said that? I said you are because of your religious attendance in Manziel threads and strings of multiple rage-filled posts back to back.

I would guess Many of those deep ball targets are by him scrambling around and drawing the DB's forward.

Most would tell you it's very overrated.

It's the offseason and it's fun to see you a&m fans defend him.

Not rage filled at all. I'm just replying to different people.

So he's accurate throwing it deep and on the run? Thanks for propping him up even more

If Matt Stafford had average arm strength, he wouldn't be drafted.

Also, from your own link

quote:

- Before we start getting into the debates about Manziel scrambling around the heaving it up for Mike Evans…his accuracy was similar when throwing solely from the pocket, hitting 67% of his 11-20 yard passes and 59% of his 20+ yard passes

are you serious?

Arm talent: Arm strength is overrated in the evaluation process- Bucky Brooks NFL scout

LINK

quote:

For starters, arm strength is always an overrated quarterback trait. It pales in comparison to being a great decision maker and throwing the ball with accuracy.

LINK /

quote:

"Sometimes the arm strength aspect of it is overrated because people are trying to paint it with a brush," Kelly said, responding to a question about Matt Barkley's arm strength. "We're not trying to knock over milk cartons at a county fair. It's about if you can put the ball in the right spot at the right time."- HC Chip Kelly

LINK

quote:

While we believe arm strength is the most overrated piece of the quarterback evaluation process, it's necessary to be at a minimum level.

LINK

quote:

“Certainly you have to have some level of throwing ability and fundamentals and that kind of thing. But speed, height, arm strength those things are way overrated when playing the quarterback position.”- Drew Brees

LINK

I could go on but I think this proves it. Also Tyler Bray went undrafted and he had a big arm.
