What Dennis Franchione did goes well beyond poor won-loss records:
-He literally cut A&M off from Texas High School coaches: He was literally so arrogant and condescending that coaches would go out of their way to steer their players away from him.
-He pit players against each other. Terrence Murphy (A&M wide receiver 2001-2004) laid it bare a little while ago on Texags how toxic Franchione truly was.
-He sold his players out. All you have to do is look up "VIP Newsletter scandal" and you'll see all you need to know.
-He recruited players he knew wouldn't get in to inflate the rankings and, when Mike Sherman took over, left him with 6 total scholarship offensive linemen on the roster. You can say the same thing about Slocum's defensive recruiting, but that was because he got passed by Stoops, Saban, and Brown.
-He used his butt boy, Mike McKenzie, to attempt to crush any sort of dissention. That tool posted on texags under the name "FranObserver" and during the 2005 season, attempted to destroy the careers of posters by illegally obtaining their personal information.

Did you even read the whole article? His numbers under pressure are slightly worse than Bridgewater and Bortles but not by much. And he's quite a bit better on throws over 10 yards.

I did. I understand he is better on some throws but being worse on throws from 6-10 yards is very concerming.
