I was at the game then afterwards at teds having a drink and I sat by this old guy. Probably 70s to 80s he said he's been goin to Bama games as long as he could remember and that was the best one he had ever saw... I'll never forget that.

We always beat Georgia when they are good. Ruined their season in 2007 too

Also 2014. In fact the game that year led to the demise of Richt, a good man, and a good coach.

Much like the falcons, that was their only chance to win it all and will be for a long time.

Man, that UGA team was completely legit. So much offensive talent on the field that day on both sides. What a game.

Actually I'm of the opinion that while they were a very good team, they weren't THAT good.

They played out of their minds that day, best game they played the whole year by far and it was almost enough to knock us off.

More often than not we probably win that game much easier than we ultimately did, but that day they really brought it.

Great game to attend too. Best friend went to UGA and has since graduated with a marketing degree got me tickets. Definitely one of the loudest and intense atmospheres I can remember. When Ogletree blocked Foster's kick, the place erupted and I thought the game was over. One of the most critical moments I can remember was Yeldon's run on like 3rd and 5 that kept Alabama's drive alive.

All the UGA fans around me were pretty cool, but I must say, I didn't dare talk to them afterwards

Not really. Whether Kirby can be a good HC remains to be seen, but his recruiting is off the charts good right now. As for the Falcons, they'll still have Ryan and Julio playing at a high level, along with other solid guys like Mohamed Sanu, Devonta Freeman, Alex Mack, Vic Beasly, etc.. Falcons have a ton of their players still on contract.

IF i recall, Mosley tipped the pass because Gurley couldn't get the block, but Gurley couldn't get the block because Mosley was not in his proper position on the play because of the hurry-up.

Still defend the decision not to spike it...it is much like not calling a timeout in basketball and hurrying the ball up the court hopefully catching the defense not set up correctly.

Still the hardest loss I have seen as a UGA fan....knowing that Notre Dame was really no match for either team.

Bogus phantom tipped pass call was a 10 or 14 point swing.

Jawja was flagged for pass interference which would've given us a first down at around their 15. Zebra waived it off saying the ball was tipped, but it wasn't.

We had to try a long FG which was blocked and returned for a TD.

Zebras also waived off an INT we got late with no conclusive video evidence to support it.

Game never should have been that close at the end.

Good guys still won.

Georgia's problem was depth. Starting 22 was absolutely loaded with NFL players, but we had less than 70 scholarship players that year.

UGA was pretty fricking good after Shawn Williams called out his teammates for being soft before the Florida game.

That's not true. I remember the LSU game in 09 when they called a pass on our final Drive incomplete when it was really intercepted. As soon as they showed the replay I knew we were done. That is not the same way I felt after seeing a reply of that pick.

Pretty incredible for you to complain about the refs in that game, a game you won, 4 years later. I'm not sure I've seen anyone complain about the refs in that game. Also, on the "INT" Sunseri hit Conley a little early. I was fine with a no call, but if you want to claim that was a pick I'll claim it should have been PI in the first place.

crazy to think about the butterfly effect as it relates to sports. If yeldon doesn't take that screen pass in a bama/LSU game in november of 2012, mark richt has a national title, is considered one of the 10 best SEC coaches in history, is still on the sidelines in Athens, and probably has a statue somewhere on campus. One play in a game that UGA didn't even play in changed all of that.
Yep. I always think about that. If the Dolphins sign Brees, Saban is still in the NFL...All of those LA players would be at LSU and the Tigers may have been a dynasty and Les is considered one of the best college coaches of all-time.

$0 actually.

When was the last time you had the option to go to a playoff/championship game? The 80s?

I wanted to strangle Mark Richt for not clocking the ball. I'm so glad that Richt is gone.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the replay of the ending.

What a way to lose.
