Man, that UGA team was completely legit. So much offensive talent on the field that day on both sides. What a game.

That game still hurts so much. Much worse than the Falcons collapse for me.

its' the worst sports pain I've ever experienced and nothing will ever top it. I get sad just thinking about it.

So many UGA fans suffered broken hands from punching walls after Conley caught that ball.

Yeah. The Falcons collapse was like watching a train crash in slow motion when you already know the outcome; the SECCG was a punch in the gut that still hurts to this day.

I can still recall the exact mix of anger and disbelief I had watching that final drive for y'all, and the flood of elation and relief when the final seconds rolled off the clock.

I've seen many, many college football games in my life, but I might have to rank that one as the single greatest game I've ever seen.

Danielson was just talking about the level of defense in this game and said, "You know, Notre Dame's got a good defense out there too."

This was just the push I needed to go ahead and drive into oncoming traffic, thanks.

I'm not really a pro guy anyway so the falcons loss didn't do much for me, I wanted them to win because I live here but I felt nothing as it relates to the team itself.

That's why college is so different. I went to UGA, I lived there for years and spent the best time of my life there. You can't go to the University of Atlanta Falcons. They are a business entity that exists to make money. It's hard to get as emotionally invested in that compared to a college team.

That title game made the SECCG loss hurt even more. Notre Dame wasn't about to stop UGA that night either.

If only that Georgia receiver didn't fall down with the ball

Yep. Marshall and Gurley would have destroyed Teo and friends just as badly as Lacy and Yeldon did.

if we had a full roster and fat grantham would have actually rotated 1 or 2 more DL in the 2nd half who knows how it would have played out. We simply couldn't stop bama from running in the 4th quarter because our overweight DL were playign every snap and just had nothing left.

Sucked.

They ripped our hearts out that year too. I was there and it was by far the loudest I ever heard TS.

crazy to think about the butterfly effect as it relates to sports.

If yeldon doesn't take that screen pass in a bama/LSU game in november of 2012, mark richt has a national title, is considered one of the 10 best SEC coaches in history, is still on the sidelines in Athens, and probably has a statue somewhere on campus. One play in a game that UGA didn't even play in changed all of that.
