who cares who i reply to? my point is valid and intended for all audiences. what's next for you net tough guys, going after my grammer and spelling next?

point is, compared to 08 and 09 seasons, the SEC was down. how else can you explain the rise of USCe, Arky, and MSU? majority of the teams were in transition. including auburn, who just got lucky hitting the jackpot on a quarter slot.

Probably the toughest western division in quite a while, but spin it however you feel.

No.

They were top heavy those years. When Ole Miss goes to the Cotton Bowl back-to-back years, you know the SEC is down.

Which says it doesn't matter if the East was down the West teams had a tough gauntlet to run in their own division.

False, just different teams on top.

Arky had good talent. USC played in the east. MSU finished 5th in the West. How is it down when you are talking about how much a team rose that finished 5th in the division?

The facts have been laid before you by others in this thread. The burden is now on you to explain how it was down without ignoring all of the facts that you have been presented. Good luck, Stupid.

You don't need that second next in there as well. It's redundant.

You're welcome.

Not changing the subject, but this year will be a weak year compared to next year. In 12' how many teams will have returning QBs ? The big problem area in the SEC the last two years has been the QB play. There was only a handfull of teams that you would consider as passing teams. That could change this year, but will change next year.

Riddle me this......who was the "returning" qb for AU last season? I can't remember, but i KNOW he could not have been a first time starter.

Now compare these 3 years and tell how in the hell you think the SEC was down in 2010? Granted the East was weak but the west was stacked… Overall the SEC was on par if not better in 2010… 6 teams ranked in the top 25 and a National Championship team show how good the conference was.

I'd say the SEC wasn't as strong at the top as normal.

And the West was good, but at least part of the reason it looked so good was the East was so bad.

I think the misperception stems from two things:

1. His favorite team was on top of the West in '08 and '09, and
2. The other top team was in the East, so the SEC Championship game was a better matchup.

I think the SEC in 2011 will be stronger than it ever has… the records may not show it.. but if you look at the talent on each team along with the quality of coaches throughout the conference, it will be very strong.

Auburn, Bama, Arky, LSU, UGA, Florida, MSU, and USCe all have the talent and coaching to be very good this year… all of these teams have the talent and coaching to win 9 or more games… a couple won't but all should win at least 8.

Auburn may not due to lack of experience, but talent and coaching should get them 7-8 wins.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see it, but is that possible due to scheduling?
ETA: Got a little comma-happy there

With 4 OOC games each, I'd certainly think it's mathematically possible, but you have to figure at least a couple of those teams will be winning between 10-12.
