I don't think either team eclipses 30. This one is going to be a defensive struggle; an elite defense, Missouri, against an up and coming offense, and a good defense, Tennessee, against a very pedestrian offense.

I expect this one is going down to the wire. Something like 24-21, could go either way.

You seem curiously focused on pushing shite in and don't mention anything about Missouri football. Very compelling.

So you aren't concerned at all about playing a UT team that has just as much momentum as Mizzou, adding in the factor of a night game at Neyland with their bowl eligibility at stake?

I'm not sure which to be more impressed by - your extreme ignorance or the severity of your Napoleon Complex.

Tennessee playing for bowl eligibility late in November - classic motivation.

That would concern me more if Mizzou weren't playing for anything. At best, those things negate each other out.

Key for Mizzou is making the game ugly. By making it ugly, they keep it close. By keeping it close, they have a chance to win. If it gets to be a shoot out of any kind, Mizzou is screwed.

i live in West Knoxville and would never go down there for a night game this time of the year unless i was in a box seat. The wind coming off the river makes that stadium freaking cold as crap

I agree with you there, but if you're in the lower bowl it's better. I feel for the people in the upper deck though

Wow, a Tennessee poster with some logic.

This should be a great game, and will go to the wire. I like the fact that the UT fan base is so fired up to play us, tells me we've arrived. Seems like UT doesn't like the idea of the new guys going to ATL again, even if the east sucks.

The emergence of Dobbs makes this a toss up for me. I believe in our defense, and I'd put them up against anyone in the SEC. Thankfully, the offense is gaining some traction, and is much improved over the last month. This will all come down to execution and coaching. I think both coaches will have their teams ready to play. It's going to be a pick 'em as far as I can tell.

Neither team is going to get blown off the field, so you can stop with all that talk.

Mizzou:

104th in Total Offense
23rd in Total Defense

Tennessee:

78th in Total Offense (up from 114th in last 3 weeks)
38th in Total Defense

Vols are the more complete team right now and are at home (I hope Mizzou has fun playing on a really bad grass surface).

Vols 27 Mizzou 20

A key piece to watch this week is if our CB Penton gets reinstated this week. Was suspended indefinitely for mary J, but is our best cover corner. I think Mizzou defense shuts Dobbs and Co down for 17 points. Does Mizzou Offense continue success this week? I think so. Finally have all our WR back and healthy, and it showed against A&M. 24-17 Tigers.

We scored 20 on Bama's D. We'll score more than than that on Mizzou.

I've said the entire time I think it's gonna be a very close game that will be tough for us to win if our secondary doesn't improve

It's the mizzou posters who say Dobbs is gonna suck/"get his shite pushed in" bc he did last year that I've been disagreeing with

They just played a game in CS in a cold rain. Field conditions were a non-factor for them.

I don't think that's going to make a difference.

Why does your field suck?

Let me get this right, no team has scored over 31 points on Mizzou except Georgia, and now this Tennessee team is going to put up 40 on the mizzou defense?? I do not see that happening. That is unless Mauk goes off for 4 pick 6's.

Ya pretty much, the only reason UGA scored 34 was because of our offenses inability to keep the ball. Chubb had 140 yards on almost 40 carries.
