A&M has been far and away the most hospitable.

Wrong.
Auburn often listed as best at treating visiting fans.
I don’t think Ole Miss has ever been listed in top 10

This is not true. I wore an LSU polo to an ole miss, tennesee baseball game and got quite a few off the wall comments. especially at the bars after the game.

Biased much?

From first hand experience, I've been treated the worse by ole miss fans the two times ive been there than any other fanbase. Auburn fans have always been the most pleasant in my experience

I always laugh at these types of threads. It isn't like there is a dime's worth of difference between the types of people who attend college football games at most schools across the country.

Bad behavior is contingent a bit on rivalries but for the most part it is contingent on how an much, how often and in what manner an opposing fan engages with the 5% of drunk obnoxious fans each fan base possesses.

But the idea that any fan base is "extra nice" is also ridiculous. And if there was one it would be Nebraska who's "Stepford fans' superficial kindness is so cornball that it will make you laugh.

Not only are we good to our guests, but even the media every single time they cover us it is their best game day experience of the year. Now unfortunately most SEC rivals that show are complete jackarses.

On my trip to the grove a guy wearing a sport coat, short shorts, a visor, and sunglasses with croakies asked what my father did for a living. I told him his mother and he stood aghast!

I was there last week in casual clothes with no team affiliation and people were looking at me like I wasn't from around there.

NO fan by any means but the aggie fans, around campus are nice....till you hear "HOWDY" for the 1001th time. Or dare step on the field: those cadets whip their swords out so fast it hurts the eyes. As for The Grove, who can mad at anyone wearing red pants & a red bow tie?

The Vol band plays the visitors' fight song before every game right in front of their seating area. No mustard or golf balls.

Mustard and golf balls. That was Tennessee, in Knoxville.

Because they got the Lane Train run on them. They were big mad.

When we got a bad call that kept us from having a goal line play to beat Alabama about 15 years ago, one of our lovely ladies threw a pair of red high heel dancing shoes.

Demonstrates the difference in the two fan bases.

I’ve been to several SEC away games. I have never been treated worse than at Ole Miss. I enjoy good trash talk and rowdiness, that’s part of going to away games and something I genuinely enjoy. But at ole miss there was none of that, just pure jackass fans. People throwing stuff at opposing fans and trying to get in your face to start a fight. Granted I did sit near the student section so this alters my view a little bit. But even in Baton Rouge I’ve never run into fans who act as crazy (not a compliment) Ole Miss is 0/10 on away treatment

I’ve always had ole miss friends with spots in the grove, and I fricking love the Grove, but ole miss fans aren’t remotely as hospitable as LSU. All of my sec friends are blown away when they visit LSU. I love mingling with ole miss fans but yall frickers are not the friendliest lmao

ETA: I have been to them all including Texas, everyone has a fun bunch and a cringe bunch. Some more than others for sure but I can’t think of a trip I’ve ever been on where I didn’t enjoy it minus the outcome. I will say Alabama fans are the worst, we had more Alabama fans visit our tailgate in Tuscaloosa than the other way around.
