Said South EAST LA. Not everyone from LA sounds like the stereotype. Just like people who live in Alabama, the accent varies. LA accents vary a lot.
I wondered when he said sackful but everything else sounded pretty credible, lawyer contacting him, told not to say anything legal, etc.

ETA....Don't get me wrong, Dothan can suck balls, but had to stick up for the home site.

It's funny. Many of the residents of my State view New Orleans as some kind of filthy, soul stealing whore of a city. These are the same people that blamed Katrina on the "morals" of the City.
Never have understood it, one of the greatest cities I have been to in the world.
