Well, of course Darryl doesn't actually represent Georgia.
Darryl is a fricking caricature. He takes that twangy Georgia accent to the Nth degree, to the point that you can scarcely understand a fricking thing he says.
Listening to him generally makes me want to eat my own face.

yea, hell our accents aren't really even that pronounced. some thread the other day i think bella and i were saying South GA and AL are practically identical.
but anyway yea i hate anything involving UGA on that show, it's just like here where everyone hates on them
the few times they actually talk about us it's just awful, like listening to big 12 people trying to talk about us like we are that foreign

Well, Georgia has a funny mishmash of different accents depending on the region, to my understanding.

around ATL accents are weak, North GA sounds like TN, East GA sounds like SC, South GA is AL

I dunno. The Savannah accent always seemed a bit out of place, regionally. Shows what I know about Georgia, though.

I love NOLA. It's one of my favorite cities. I was there for Mardi Gras 06' (six months after Katrina) and it broke my heart to see the city the way it was.
