Enjoy a game perhaps?

Never mind, Gary will still be in the booth...

I really think Rece's current job is better then the CBS one.. One CBS you get to call one game a week for about 4 hours for about 12 weeks or so and then noone ever sees you outside of that.

On ESPN he is on TV year round doing something.

He actually can be objective when he needs to be
Will be much better than Verne

Gary is the best color guy in CFB.

Which is why I am guessing he would have to become the face of CBS including CFB, CBB and the Final Four, maybe some golf, etc. All the big events.

The problem at ESPN is he is blocked by Fowler. He is on tv all the time but he's in a studio hosting a show or doing Thursday Night games. Not exactly a path to the top.

Yeah, I think that should be CBS' first choice (behind Ron Franklin of course). I'd make him the main college guy for football & Basketball/Final Four.

If it's the same pay, he might prefer the CBS gig. Rece is about the hardest working "in front of camera" guy at ESPN. Has a football studio show he anchors, does play by play for football, has a basketball studio he anchors, hosts special shows from time to time. Not sure if he also does basketball play by play, but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think CBS could give Rece a nice gig with SEC football which is pretty much the premier game every Sat and a college hoops package and more tournament air time.

ESPN will match no doubt but what can they give him for exposure?

Will CBS be able to keep SEC package next time it comes up for bid? You know ABC will be all over it for that prime time slot on ABC at 7 with the lower tier games at 2:30

Yes, rece always does the Thursday night basketball games as well. He also does a podcast during football season. He is a busy guy. I think he would love doing sec games and NCAA tournament.

I hope so. Even if ABC offers more money, I think there's value for the SEC Brand in that 2:30 CBS slot. It is associated with SEC Football.

I would love Rece with Danielson. That would be a solid team in the booth.

Dont'a Hightower.

Times called Dante by most media outlets, maybe around 50%

Times called Dante by Verne, a guy specifically dedicated to knowing and covering the SEC, 100%.

He's a snuggly ole fart but it is starting to get worse.

I think Danielson is good. Team him up with Rece and that'd be a really solid team I think.
