They actually mentioned the Jags as the worst along with KC. But the oddsmaker just gave the line vs the Chiefs. It's all hypothetical anyway. Relax. They're not really going to play.

Actually, I think the gap is smaller now between the college and the NFL. Just look at all the rookie QBs who have played at a high level in recent years. Big Ben, Matt Ryan, Flacco, RGIII, Luck, Cam, and Dalton are just a few QBs who more than held their own as rookie QBs. In the past, rookie QBs rarely succeeded and were overwhelmed by the speed and athleticism of the NFL. Today's rookie QBs don't seem to have as much difficulty adjusting to the speed of the NFL.

That's a good point and I think it goes all the way back to the high school level. High school players are developed so much more now than they were 20 years ago, they get to college more developed. Kids are playing 7on7 year around, going to national camps, hiring personal trainers and coaches all while still in high school.

Um yes they are. Our QB's can't do anything. Neither one of them. It's BAAAAD.

If the Juniors who declare would stick around for their 4th or 5th year, the gap would be even less too I think.

As a non NFL fan, I hate it that players leave early.

Have you watched the Browns run block this year?

At least Kansas City has a devastating running attack. Jacksonville doesn't do anything well.

Really? Jam chuck running behind an NFL oline against a college defense, that'll go well.

This. KC would literally not have to throw the ball once and still would cover the spread.

i don't care. they're playing against professional defensive lines. ALL THE PLAYERS THEY GO UP AGAINST ARE PROS.

the fact that some bama fans actually think they can hang with any pro team shows the absolute delusion in that fanbase

Go back and look at the results of the games between the College all stars vs the Super Bowl champs: LINK

Alabama would argubly be better than a team of college all-stars because of cohesion and experience playing together. A team like the Chiefs or Jags would obviously be much, much worse than a Super Bowl champion like the Giants

It would be cool if they took the National Champions & put them against the last place NFL team..

This is frickin' nuts.

Newsflash, guys: Football players hit a helluva lot harder when they do it & get paid.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have used that language, considering who we're talking about, but....

don't care. the games completely different. compare the size of the lines back then to now.

i wish there was some way i could post this thread in the KC or Jacksonville lockerroom.

look kid....i know you think your team is super duper awesome and everything....but bama/lsu/oregon whoever, would get absolutely destroyed by any pro team. ITS A TEAM FULL OF PROS FOR CHRISTS SAKE. How many players do you think will go pro off of bamas team?

Why must there be the worst NFL team/best college team discussion every year?

This is about the 5th one I've seen this year.

This year's Saints defense, which is on it's way to having the worst season, statistically, in NFL history, would make 03 Oklahoma or USC offense look like a bunch of retarded infants.

These threads always have, and always will be, stupid. We are all dumber for having read this.

This is just the tip of the ice berg. You could follow that up with how many of those players will make a roster? And then how many of those would actually start? And since most teams have a few pro bowlers, how many of the starters will make a pro bowl? When you think about it, Alabama wouldn't stand a chance to keep it within 40 if KC really wanted to run up the score.

How is the game different? Of course NFL players are bigger now but so are college players. They showed a graphic during the Bama vs Michigan game where Bama's OL is the same size as the Dallas Cowboys'.

To get them super fired up for a game that has no chance of ever being played?

And how many players for Boise State would've been offered a scholarship or started for UGA last year? FTR, the '10 Bama squad had around 14 future 1st rounders. How many does a typical NFL team have?
