If there is a rift, it's news to me. We all seem to get along nicely. As the OP points out, as long as you never supported UT, everyone is welcome. The more that jump on means a better showing of fan support. That increases the odds of improvements to facilities and such.

I just figured there had to be sort of a rift like there is within the post-2004 Red Sox fan base wherein the longterm diehards derisively call the bandwagoners "pink hats," considering the diehards have endured a lot of heartache and bandwagoners only know the good times.

If there was a bigger fanbase, maybe. I don't like bandwagoners, but they can serve a purpose.

I like Vandy, I always pull for you guys. Can't beat a solid academic school that punches well above it's weight class in football.
