That game was poorly handled. Should have pushed Graveman a little longer, CT should have never come in I think Bracewell was pulled too soon. Holder was never close with his curve and his fastball was fast but not really under control. Frustrating loss. Should have never come to extra innnings.

SC has good pitching but Renfroe and Rea are just not seeing the ball

Yeah, we stole the game from y'all yesterday, and y'all did the same to us today. The big difference in our teams is the quality of y'alls starting pitching. How is your #3? As good as 1 and 2?

And that's what happens when you pitch a guy who has 1 appearance against their best hitter.

Our coaches are so fricking stupid

Griener is not even close to our best hitter. He's maybe six or seventh best, at best. He's our catcher. He does have power and he was overdue ... but it was a calculated move by your coach against a guy who has been slumping ... let me look. LINK - PDF

He was hitting .293 coming into the series. That's seventh best on the team. Yesterday he was 0-3 with two strikeouts and a groundout and he walked one time. Plus he had a passed ball earlier (or maybe they scored it a wild pitch) tonight that allowed y'all to plate your first run ... so he owed us that dinger. We forgive him for the slump and for the passed ball.

It's like a soccer goalie guessing where the PK is going. Griener guessed slider and it was a little up and he nailed it.

He's a freshman. We'll see. He has some stuff and he manages to keep his cool but he is still a freshman and tomorrow's game is going to be sick with pressure. But we'll throw the bullpen at you tomorrow to win that game if we have to headed into the conference tourney and to ensure we host a regional at the very least.

The way we are looking at it we just secure a regional, but we need the insurance game tomorrow.

If we go deep into the tourney we could squeeze-out a super regional perhaps.

We have to win tomorrow then probably at least one in the SECt to get a host, but unfortunately for us we have basically zero fresh arms out of the pen tomorrow, so if you can run our starter early, it could get ugly. You might even have the pleasure of seeing the head-case himself, Evan Mitchell

Well shite, I'll just stay at home tomorrow. (Girodo, Bracewell, Gentry, Cox, Bradford, have some pitches left). Lingren is struggling. Evan is possible but you can tell in about 2 pitches whether or not he is worth a crap. I'll probably go anyway.

Sucks that I missed most of the game, but glad to read that we won. Hopefully we can get 1 more and lock a regional host spot.

LSU undoubtedly has the most important thing, the most titles but its a shame that so many college baseball fans forget that MSU and SC had stellar baseball programs long before any other current SEC team did.

South Carolina has a .686 winning percentage since 1970. The only reason it is that low is because we fell to .609 for the decade of the 90s during June Raines' final years and Ray Tanner's first few years. We've had three losing seasons in 43 years, two of those in 70 and 71 and one of those in '96, June Raine's final year before he was let go.

There are very few baseball teams that can claim that kind of success since 1970. Maybe a half dozen in the country, at the most, and probably not that many.

Wynkoop has pitched as good as both Belcher & Monty in his last 3 starts shutting down UK, LSU, & UGA he seems to have turned a corner and doesn't look like a true freshman anymore.

You're forgetting Ross Mitchell hasn't pitched much at all this weekend. He has easily 3 innings left in him.

Actually in 2013 Greiner is by far our best hitter in conference play batting over .320 I believe. Woke up this am to watch some highlights this am over at hailstate.com. Pet peeve is the schools who show only their highlights and not actually highlights of the complete game. Replay shows MSU making an out up 3-2 and that's the end of the highlights. An MSU fan that missed the game would have no idea of what happened based on those highlights. Give your fans or opposing fans a complete picture of what happened. Not trying to bash State a lot of teams do this I'm just not sure why.

This^^. Greiner is a beast in conference. Very clutch and has been on fire lately.
