Fastest growing county in AL, the money's there, and pull from TN and north AL population for support, including Birmingham.

Birmingham, on the other hand, is run by imbeciles and broke as shite.

They are run by imbeciles but to be fair, they're not the broke ones. It's JeffCo that's broke as shite and they're run by BIGGER imbeciles.

Hockey town.

I sometimes wonder what would have become of the Birmingham Stallions if the USFL had been successful. Quite the franchise in its day.

Starting a team now is a lot harder than maintaining a team that has already been established like the bills

The only athletics program among the top 12 in revenue and expenses that has received no money from the university or from student fees was LSU per USA Today

Best thing about this list is saving the link to check back next year and the year after to see how far Penn State drops.

If the state of Alabama really wanted a pro team we could probably scrounge up the funds and resources to get one.

That exact statement is incorrect, you are leaving off a little catch.

True, problem is that I don't trust anyone in this state to not run it into the ground. Especially in somewhere like Birmingham. They would definitely have to be patient to wait for some of the interest to draw away from the collegiate programs, which I'm skeptical that they will be in this day and age.
