I'm nearing 200 responses. I'm about to open up the 3rd poll and leave it up until tomorrow. I'll combine all the data and come up with some various displays.

Great job!

You would think Larry could implement some code here on the rant like this so we don't have to go off site.

Bump for a few more hours in case anyone did get a chance to take the survey yesterday that wants to participate. I'll put it all together this afternoon.

Nothing from the results is too surprising to me. The most surprising IMO would probably be how low A&M is projected. Also, I expected UGA to be the favorite in the East, but not by such a decisive margin.

LSU fans really let their A&M hate flow

Yeah.. I think I'll separate LSU fans' responses and compare the results to the rest. Give me a bit.

I won't be surprised by the results

But the graphs are awesome. Did that take a lot of work or did the survey app do them for you?

That came as quite a surprise to me as well. I expected to see more Tennessee and Missouri first place votes.

The discrepancy between LSU fans and the rest is not quite as large as you might think (other than how LSU will finish, but that was to be expected). And it only took a lot of work getting the data from surveymonkey to excel. I had to hand enter it all because I'm not paying $26 a month for surveymonkey which I only casually use. If you did pay for the subscription though, it would all be super easy because they'll filter, export, and display the data as you wish. With the free version though, they try to make it as least useful as possible for you to still use it

ETA: If you omit LSU, the projected finishes are still the same. Also, the non-LSU fans' numbers are still inflated because they still contain their respective fanbases. If I omitted everyone's fanbases' votes, the two results in the graphs above would be even closer.

That's really interesting, it shows that LSU fans have the most homer view of their team, more than any other.

Better take it down before you get blasted for it

You can't deduce that from what I've provided because the other set of data is everyone else collectively. From looking through the data, I would expect each fanbases' results to be heavily skewed in their favor when only using their fanbases' responses. I would do that, but survey monkey only allows me 1 filter, which I've used for LSU fans...

ETA: Actually, I've discovered that I can delete filters, it will just allow me 1. Therefore, I will be able to do it for other fanbases. BRB

How can Miss State achieve a 6.17 when the lowest position is 6?

You can finish 7th in the West?

Your right, I see that now. I bet if you could filter it would be either us or M State with the most homer view. I was wrong.

Yeah, teams that are collectively projected lower are going to have the greatest discrepancy because every fanbase is going to rank themselves near the top.

Oops, I guess I do the math and I exclude my team automatically because my thought are on how many west games we play

Here's A&M responses vs the rest:

Again, exclude A&M and y'all have everyone else finishing in the same order. I think we can use the overall graph in the OP to get a good idea of the feel, just bear in mind that it will be skewed a little in LSU's favor since we account for 28% of the responses.
