I didn't realize he redshirted already. Why does he have to get his associates to play for A&M or UGA in 17?

He isn't going off to UGA. Hear he's going to Blink for a year, then he'll be an Aggie.

Nick losing his mojo in getting players out of Texas to sign and stay.

depends on saban. if he restricts an in-conference transfer then academic progress must be shown, similiar to a graduate transfer.

SEC has a rule that you can't play for two years if you transfer to another SEC school. Going Juco first means he can play the following year

I think the deal is this:

If he transfers to an SEC school, he has to sit this year per SEC rules.

If he transfers to a JUCO, he can play this year AND be immediately eligible wherever he wants to go in 2017.

This thread is getting good. Tell me more! Slowly. Be explicit.

Nice edit. Do you still expect him to be back on the team Sunday evening?

Full release as in the normal sitting out a year policy per the NCAA

After speculation all this week over the status of Kendall Sheffield with the Alabama football program, ESPN is reporting the former 5-star cornerback has been granted his release.
