Perhaps "scared" is the wrong choice of words, but coming from a buddy in football ops, Kendall has straight up used how he was ranked out of HS as a statement of why he should play "I was one of the top DBs in the country man. you don't think I'm good enough to play all of a sudden?". That sounds like entitlement to me.

I don't. I know two people in our football ops and consider myself friendly enough with each to believe them when they say something. I also know that he's a young kid and I would probably have been entitled somewhat too at his age and in his shoes. Not meant as a character attack so much as a statement of his mindset.

I didn't say I don't like you bruh. You're good people. I just said I liked you more at a different point in time. There was a time when our communication was much more focused on real issues that matter (like family, and fires, and life changing events) and less on snide interactions about 18-22 year olds.

Really, truth be told, most Bama fans on the Mo Smith issue didn't have a problem with the kid leaving. Not to sound horrible, but it wasn't a massive loss to the team. I think most Bama fans under truth serum would say that their responses in threads about Mo Smith were more from a position of defending the coach, program, and the right to deny transfer within conference (though, admittedly, I'm sure some - myself included - were irritated that he/his mom mitigated the situation in the press).

You've got to remember, though, we've had like 5-7 kids leave every year for the past several years. You usually don't hear much about it and Bama fans usually wish the kid luck (like Dee Hart, Becker-Burgess, etc). It's been different this time primarily b/c of the Smith situation.

Saban must be going soft. Just letting the kid decide if he wants to be on the team???
