No wonder LSIxU is broke. Their financial decisions lack coherency.

i sometimes think that when lsu decided they weren't going to overpay herman, they knew herman would try to come steal his old college roommate in aranda for dc. given the coaching turmoil in br this year, they knew out of anyone on staff they did not want to lose, it would be aranda. therefore it made sense to keep coach o, at a lower price tag, to leave enough funds to give aranda a hefty raise to stay.

A report I read said Aranda has stated a desire to not coach in the big 12 because of the offenses there. Take it for what it's worth.
Also the report stated UT likely won't match LSUs offer (and pay lsu to buyout arandas contract). That's about 3 million for one season
Who knows tho

Tim Brewster from FSU to Texas is reportedly a done deal.
that man could sell water to mermaids.

Brewster was the tight-ends coach at TEXAS when Herman was a grad assistant.

If Texas wants him alleva will promote one of the grad assistants to be D.C. than get into a bidding war with Texas for a coach LSU wants.

Texas has no state income tax, and even I will admit Asstin >> BR.

It's not your kids at Texas at either side of the ball that would make or break it for me if I were Aranda. And the money will be there whether it's LSU or Texas..
I'd feel like I was wasting my skillset in using the Horns superior talent in facing but a few tough, physical, and/or talented rosters in say OU, TCU, OSU, or Baylor(if sustains?) ..
And mostly facing spread O's that are very similar variations..
Aranda has NFL down-and-distance grade elite skills..besting the Big-12 with UT's superior talent is a yawn-fest..a boring way to cash a check..and will dent his career stat lines in bloated allowances.

Strategic, tactful, and idiotic on it played out. This may be one of those situations we later find alleva made a wise decision.

"What top coaches wouldn't want to go to LSIxU so that they could hone their skills against the very best?"
Again...you guys are hilarious.

Won't pony up for the HC, but they'll blow their load on their DC. Odd
But, if I were Aranda I'd stay at LSU. Going to a big 12 school just seems like a terrible idea for any DC really.

Who knows now that Herman is there. That said UT will have to come up with 3 million to get him from LSU while paying hermans salary, buyout and strongs buyout. Seems costly doesn't it?
All while kiffins contract ends in two months and LSU is preparing to pay him like a HC. Two best coordinators would be dope tho

Is Lane Kiffins contract going to expire anytime soon? Do you know?
I haven't seen you posting anything about it ending and was just curious.
Thanks.
