What is the point of a coach in OKC, westbrook just gonna do whatever he wants.

First time since 1998 that UF missed the postseason.

1 season means UF falls off the map?

frick 1998...that talent isn't coming back. I'm saying y'all don't have talent currently and Donovan leaving is the scariest thing imaginable for UF fans

There were a ton of unfortunate circumstances that had to happen for us to have that kind of season. There is a lot of talent on the team.

That said, it certainly looks like this may be the time Donovan leaves. He is my favorite Gator coach in any sport ever so it will be tough if that day comes, but I think we are in a solid position going forward. Arizona has done well post-Lute Olsen, no reason we can't find similar success.

you do realize how utterly fricking shitty finishing below .500 is?

It's not like yall "just" missed the post season.

Yall were just above probably the 2-3 WORST teams in SEC basketball history in Mizzou, Auburn and MSU. Let that sink in. And yes I'm talking overall record and yes I know you guys beat us on a bullshite call. But regardless of "circumstances" your season was completely shite.

UF totally fricked if he leaves the way the rest of the SEC is panning out.

Is there a bigger troll on the SEC Rant than REBEL5 AC? Dear lord. UF is one of the main reason that SEC basketball isnt laughed at more than it already is... And you seem to think that UF cant make a good hire? People will come out of the wood work to come take the reigns over that program which BillyD built from the ground up.

I feel like the guy in the headphones on The Internship. I dont want to defend the Gaytors. I really dont. But come on stop trolling and join the rest of your fan base in talking about how AK should be fired when he does more with less than anyone in the country.

Instead of a shitty post, where you chuckled to yourself and thought it would be funny, why don't you disclaim what he said.

FWIW, everything he said is spot on.

You realize we played one of the hardest OOC schedules in the country without a ton of our players because of injuries and suspensions. We finished with 16 wins and only needed 18/19 to make the NCAA tournament. We lost 5 games in the last 5 seconds and had plenty of others that came down to the last possession, so we were incredibly close to it being a decent year.

I guarantee one thing, Donovan would not leave if he felt the program was in bad shape. He knew we needed some rebuilding after 2007, that was one of the major reasons he changed his mind on the Magic.

GTFO with that bullshite. I don't see any team that UF isn't capable of hanging with next season.

UF had 7 losses in single possession games, including multiple on last second shots.

UF's worst team in over 20 years could still hang with UK for more than 35 mins TWICE.

This says it all about UF's current program. "We hung with our conference rival for 35 minutes, not once, but TWICE!!!!"

No denial I think Donovan is going and I have no hard feelings. IMO, he is the best Gator coach to ever step on campus and he has earned this opportunity.

I would leave if I were him. More money to do the same thing and you don't have to deal with all the pimps on the recruiting trail. He is a New Yorker, which probably endears him more toward the NBA than college. I am very happy with all the success he has brought the program and wish him well if he leaves. He is one of the good guys in coaching.
