Someone commented about his apparent age. They were correct. Some youngsters tend to forget that many people don't go to college immediately after high school. I explained where he had been and why he was somewhat older than the norm.
His age and military service have little bearing upon the concept of "Yell Leader" versus "Cheerleader."

Not sure why those jack-offs just didnt make the mascot a Land-Shark. Would have made a lot more sense. A black bear? Really? Almost makes me feel kind of sorry for them it's so bad.

No the attempt was sincere. The actions taken in the attempt to do so were meaningless gestures that academicians believed would work but had no basis in real world considerations as far as one can tell.
Also, if you think the changing of the mascot and the move to being called Mississippi and the ridding of the best pregame in the SEC were anything more than just window dressing, you are sadly misinformed as to how the world works.

A. The #1 team in the nation is always the team to beat
B. Not attending a rivals game because you are at your own doesn't equal "poors"
C. You must have missed the thread that shows MSU grads and everyone else in the SEC besides bama make more annually than OM grads
