Nope. Even if the defense is as awful as last year, that offense is still crazy good.

If we are going to play it equal, both defenses probably improved a little, but UNC's offense is just way better than USCe's.

This will likely be a 35-28 type of game. Don't see either team rolling, and also don't see either defense improving much this early.

UNC's offense is crazy good?

UNC averaged 26.8 ppg in their last 6 games last season....playing against ACC opponents and Rutgers...

USC averaged more YPG than UNC did, and almost averaged as many PPG last season playing against SEC defenses...

LOL. The guys they had last year, are all back.

They got their 3000+ yard 21 TD passer who had nearly 800 yards and 13 TDs on the ground, their top 4 pass catchers and 8 of their top 10 pass catchers, all of their RBs especially the guy that should have a breakout year in Elijah Hood, and the entire OL. I mean dude, when your only loss on your entire offense is one senior TE, you're in pretty good shape. When you bring back all your RBs including a beast of a freshman that should explode, you're in good shape. When you bring back your entire OL, you are in very VERY good shape. When you bring back a year and a half starter, redshirt senior dual threat QB, who had over 3800 yards 34 TDs and 63%, you're in very, very, VERY good shape.

Look that offense is going to experience a big jump. That is an experienced unit with most of the 2 deep at RB and WR being juniors and seniors with tons of experience and starting experience at that for half of them.

Aren't you the same guy that told the Mizzou fans to watch out for the REAL SEC?

that was great. I read that in my mind like a children's book. You're a cartoon character. Now I'm even less worried.

That's good info, seriously.

Are you a UNC fan?

ETA: Their OL wasn't great last year, we are going to get a push. Also, I like our OL vs their DL.

I'm with you here. I'm not claiming the Gamecocks will be world beaters this year. I just believe that we are a lot better football program than UNC. I'm ready to get back to winning on opening day. I like those "ugly" wins where Spurrier doesn't have to run too many different plays. Maybe he can get back to relying on a good defense. We shall see.

I think UNC wins this 34-24. UNC brings back almost their entire offensive unit. Both South Carolina and North Carolina should improve somewhat on defense, with South Carolina's slightly better. However, Conner Mitch has barely thrown a pass, there is no Mike Davis, Jerrell Adams is hurt, and South Carolina has one returning wide receiver in Pharoah Cooper.

South Carolina folks are used to being comfortable about their offense, this game will look a lot like the season opener at Vanderbilt in 2012 except with a loss.

LOL I was also the one that predicted South Carolina to fall hard last year before the season started. Everybody thought it would be just fine and dandy losing all that on defense and it wasn't.

You can laugh all you want, but Mizzu has played the SEC on easy the past 2 years.
