UNC returns an experienced and talented dual threat QB and USC is starting a guy who's only thrown a handful of passes in college. UNC has a new DC in Gene Chizik who should improve a pretty bad defense from last year. I'm thinking UNC will feel more like the underdog and be more up for the game.
USC is a 3 point favorite. I like UNC and the points.

Who the frick knows with this game. Their defense was worse than ours last year and I think we pulled in better talent. I think our offense will be better against their defense than their offense will be against our defense.
Could go either way but I expect a win.

If UNC's defense is like last years, then USC should roll. I'm thinking ol' Gene has worked a little magic over the offseason.

Yeah, but how much? They finished like 20-30 spots behind us in total defense last year.
Due to that, I'm not sure if it's a positive or negative that they're returning 7 defensive starters.

Nope. Even if the defense is as awful as last year, that offense is still crazy good.
If we are going to play it equal, both defenses probably improved a little, but UNC's offense is just way better than USCe's.
This will likely be a 35-28 type of game. Don't see either team rolling, and also don't see either defense improving much this early.
