Well yeah.

We don't yet know whether or not Zika is transmittable via piss balloons.

Plus I'm just now healing up from the shank I suffered at the wrong gnawed end of a corndog stick after we pushed it to L5U

Damn now we got them climbing the wall from the Poli Board.

This is how it will be by the third quarter again.

The SEC was nearly 50% bigger than the Pac-10 of 2002-2008.

So? The % of our conference opponents played who finished ranked in the top 15 or so dwarfs USC. Our division/league schedule was better and deeper. This isn't even an argument.

. The 2012-2015 argument is a joke dude. Alabama benefited from your ranked teams comparison in that case with addition of Texas A&M and Mizzou as ranked teams in those years

Wut? They were in our league and we played them, what is your point exactly?

I don't understand what you are arguing against. USC was incredible and would have son in any league, their league was so-so. It's a pretty widely accepted viewpoint.

What are you talking about with losing to 1/3 of teams? I said roughly 1/3 of their league was a THREAT to beat them. I didn't say they lost 1/3 of their games, that's asinine.

The point of original USC point was about the competition level of the schedule week in and week out, not the conference as a whole or the teams themselves. I'm not sure why you seem to want to make your stand here.

Was the Pac 10 as close to the level of Southern Cal as the rest of the SEC West is to the level of Alabama?

That's the point. That's the only point.

As far as LSU taking over our reign, LSU will beat us from time to time as all teams will but LSU will never reign over Bama or the SEC regardless of who's on top. They had a little run when the SEC was quite down and Saban had been there and built a pretty good program. THey built a nice little 5 game stretch there when we were down in numbers. Since our numbers got back equal , well, its been a different story.

Easy to say when Bama has arguably the best coach in CFB history. Saban and the bear don't grow on trees. Bama will be back down to earth. LSU was a sleeping giant due to some natural advantages. The giant was awoken in 2000. The current LSU coach is a good recruiter, but mediocre with Xs and Os. I think you'd be surprised at the comparative results if coaching was equal.

Anything LSU get with Les is lagniappe. It's safe to say Bama will never have a coaching advantage like this again. LSU is biding it's time.

Scared of a team with 11 losses in the past three years while loaded with talent? Hardly. I'm loving the annual preseason optimism. This is the year.

In all serious, I hope you are as good as advertised.

Well, good luck finding another best coach in CFB history I guess.

Yea, Bama never has good coaches. Just got lucky this once. Will only be a blip on the radar.

10 years of biding your time? Man, that's impressive patience.

You have Alabama all wrong. Alabama doesn't fear losing. Alabama hates to lose but it doesn't fear it. Every team plays it's best game against Alabama. Alabama knows it and must play at a higher level than any other team in the country week in and week out to be successful. So - when Alabama does lose it's almost always bad luck. Fumbling the kickoff twice in a game is bad luck. Having a terribly thrown ball that would be intercepted 99% of the time take a ridiculous bounce off a helmet miraculously into the hands of a receiver who was beat on his route, behind the play, and out-manned by the defense take it for a TD is just bad luck. 4 turnovers is bad luck and I can live with that.

If LSU beats Alabama it will be bad luck that causes the loss. Alabama has already won the game with better organization, better recruiting, better coaching, and better game planning. The only thing that can go wrong is bad Luck.

There is one element of truth to this thread: Alabama fans expect to compete for the national championship, and we look at the schedule at the biggest obstacles. LSU will likely be the best team we face on the schedule.

You can call that fear if you like. I remember when we had the same expectations in the 70's, and it was a glorious time to be a Bama fan, and it's pretty great to be back in the same position again. Not many fans get to experience it.

(To summarize: 21-0.)

that's my point. Saban won't be there forever. It was a long time between the bear and Saban. people who think LSU cannot or will not ever rule the SEC are mistaken. Saban let the genie out of the bottle in 2000, and I don't know if it can't be put back in.

Think about this, if Saban is not at Alabama, Les freaking Miles has at least two national championships at LSU. The guy we all make fun of.

if Saban doesn't get the NFL itch, LSU likely has 5+ national titles since 2000.

Bama got lucky, don't forget it.
