That's just not true.

If we beat Missouri and win two in the SECt (second one will presumably be against UK/A&M/Vandy/USCe), we'll get in.

That won't happen because we suck, but we're certainly not theoretically dead.

And we were practically a lock. Then we lost 5 of 6. That's what happens.

UF football and basketball, once a blossoming powerhouse has turned into a pile of shite but never fear Gator brethren, the best AD in the known universe will save us.

If its any consolation to you the whole conference sucks this year. Our powerhouse Kentucky is weak, and the rest are just are just plodding along.

As Kentucky continues to sink the rest of the conference needs to step up.

The cal train seems to be losing interest...

Gators squared you are in denial. They are not getting in with 14 losses

They just aren't. You are greatly overrating this resume

I think this team might be better served playing in the NIT. Might get a few more games under our belt. A first game exit in the tourney doesn't help much imo.

Florida is so bad.

It's amazing they were in the tournament for so long. I guess that's what happens when you play a tough OOC tho :/

That win over WV basically propped them up

One of the most fluke results of the season.

Not even that they won, but that they won by so much.

Congrats.

Cocky did what 08 and 09 UF didn't.

Somehow make the tournament with a god awful non-conference schedule.

We can't shoot. Period.

The only reason we were in the tournament discussion to begin with was the 6 game stretch during which UF was beyond crazy hot from 3.

Denial? No. We'll be playing in the NIT.

But hypothetical: beat Missouri, get the #6 seed (we'd likely win the tiebreaker amongst that 9-9 clusterfrick since we swept UGA and Ole Miss). Beat probable #11 seed Tennessee. Then beat probable #3 seed South Carolina but lose to probable #2 seed UK.

20-14, RPI: 48, SOS: 14.

With how weak the bubble is, we'd probably get in.

And then entertain the even more absurd hypothetical that we beat UK in the semis but lose to A&M in the finals.

21-14, RPI: 41, SOS: 13

We'd definitely be in.

So we hypothetically do absolutely not need to win the SECt to get a bid.

Now forget that hypothetical since we suck and will probably lose to Missouri on Saturday.

Nah. Florida is dead. They aren't even very watchable. The losses in the last 10 are damning. Also, the main factor is that other "bubble" teams across the country are doing better and will get in over Florida. Florida has to win out or a lot of bad things have to happen to a lot of other teams and no unexpected bids given to tournament champions. That just isn't going to happen.
