how do you guys feel about the loss of Crow?

probably best for us.

He was a huge problem off the field and he was always needing to be subbed out in games. I think we should be fine. It will be interesting to see who picks up the slack.

why do rushing yards from a QB not count as part of our rushing attack?

as part of the attack it does but when comparing stats with/without Josey to me it doesn't make sense to count them.

Only if you're talking about from an off the field standpoint. Dude was incredible on the field though and I think we're going to really miss him. I don't think it's a stretch to say he could've been a top 5 all time running back for us. Watching what he did last year was incredible especially considering he was only 100% for like 2 games.

i feel like we see a lot of gun, spread formations like last year and institute a good amount of max protection with artie lynch and rs IV.

I think we should use a lot more double tight-end single back formations next season and use Artie as an H-back when needed. That way we can audible the play based off the pre-snap defense and hopefully create some mismatches.

They do, but I think the topic at hand was specifically your RB production

Thats fine man. One other interesting thing about the loss of Josey/inserting of Kendial Lawrence in the SEC is this: by all coaching staff accounts, and from what we have seen through his career, Josey has always been an explosive runner but what was really keeping him back on third string before injuries gave him a chance to start and become a superstar was his blocking - he was not as physical, skilled or adept in pass/run protection and blocking generally as our other RBs including Kendial Lawrence. Now, if the hype of SEC front lines and defenses is to be believed, and I do believe it, then its an interesting question as to whether having better blocking and more physicality of some kind at that spot is just as important as the explosiveness Josey offered when you dialed his number on plays. Because if having Josey in there would mean that our QB would wind up on his arse all the time whenever we called passing plays to DGB and TJ Moe etc, then that kinda takes away some of the things you gain by his explosive runs. Interesting question and one that is difficult to substantively answer, but it could be a factor. And mind you Kendial Lawrence isn't the greatest blocker in the world or anything either, he was just supposed to be better at it than Josey from what coaches have said.

Never starting another thread because it may never be this good. My last one was breaking Da Crow arrest so needless to say I'm 2 for my last 2 on guaranteeing dipshit flamefests
