Last year, he said 15 million

That was before someone in the administration basically said to stop pussy footing around with money and spend like you mean it. First it was coaching salaries and now projects. Foley Field may be heading into Phase II of expansion soon as well...

Yesterday, an article says @ 12 million

That was a garbage piece by Chip Towers that was using a quote from 10+ years ago by Vince Dooley as a tagline. McGarity never said $12 mill.

The beauty of this thing is that it won't interfere with any of the existing facilities or practice space. Even better, ground will likely be broken before Dawgnight (of which there will be 2 this year) so coaches can just point across the street and tell recruits we're dropping $30 mill on an IPF just because.

UM’s is nice, but Tennessee set the f’n standard. I don’t want any cheap arse IPF like SCAR or Auburn. Spend the money, make it one of the best in the nation.

I've just heard some scuttlebutt from some reliable folks that a Phase II option does exist and is being explored. May not happen for a few years, though, until funds are raised and the team performance returns to its former CWS consistency, during which time Foley was always sold out weeks in advance.

Just something to keep an eye on.

We have one chance to get it right," McGarity said to reporters after the meeting. "We do not want to compromise. This building will be here forever."

This makes me moist. Very forward thinking to be considering what the scope of new IPFs will be in the next 5-10 yes. And very un-UGA like

It's going to be hard to top Florida's new facility coming into age.

Does UGA have wifi on campus yet?

This is gold Coming from someone who's school is nearly bankrupt and is having trouble keeping satellite campuses open and programs on its main campus from being shelled. Lsu is poor. And yes UGA has wifi. PAWS to be exact

Is it going to include more than just an IPF? Michigan's $26 million included renovations to outdoor fields, locker rooms and the weight room.

Multi purpose which means it'll be used for more than an IPF I would assume. Indoor track meets are gonna beg to be in Athens before long. Arky fricked.

"We've always talked (about) a building that's roughly 80 yards wide, 140 yards long, 65 feet high," McGarity said. "That's just an estimate. But we have funds set aside to move forward in the planning process with our architects."

It's gonna be BIG
