I fail to see anything about UGA doing anything in particular.

six schools, including Georgia State University in Atlanta, have to lower their dependence on student money within four years. Others exceeding the new limits, based on financial year 2015 budgets, are Armstrong State University, Middle Georgia State University, East Georgia State College, Gordon State College and Atlanta Metropolitan State College.
Are we scared of these schools too?

The change has little effect on the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech athletic programs,
Now, I can certainly see why tech would be glad for this. Only a matter of time before GSU overtook them as the best program in atlanta.

So does UAB, USA, etc

This is what happens when you try and get a football team at an almost purely commuter school. No interest what so ever.
Now on the note State and Hail Southern!

I wish this was a national rule. There is enough money to not require students to have to subsidize athletic programs. Student loan dept is a real problem in this country and helps run college football programs. Does Auburn really need the $4,000,000 a year from student fees for athletics? Charge them more for tickets, but get rid of the mandatory fees.
At places like Ohio University, athletic fees run students $48 a credit hour. That means that a typical student will use almost $6000 of financial aid or scholarships to pay for the athletic programs at their school. That’s two thirds of what their entire college debt would have been 20 years ago.

There isn't one school that wants another draining its resources. The SEC is hard enough without more obstacles. If u say different u are lying. What would LSU fans say if ull became LSUL and they demanded LSU subsidize the program? Let's be real. They wouldn't be around as long as uab has. Same with aum.if they wanted a D1 football program aubie would say hell naw. Georgia will go along with whatever until it takes away from the Athens campus.
