bullshite. Iona is a decent program and Georgia isn't exactly even a perennial tourney team, I don't get the big deal. This isn't football dipshits.

The SEC, sans a couple of teams, really sucks this year. Alabama just got their asses handed to them by VCU.

Iona beat North Carolina a few years ago and Iowa State when they were ranked. They've also played teams like Syracuse and BYU close in the NCAA Tournament.
In other words, you're working on a 3/10 at the moment.

If I were you, I'd just try to get this thread deleted. You already have fans from a few other schools showing you that you don't know what the frick you are talking about. Dust yourself off and try again tomorrow.

The Gaels this year are not as good as they were last season when they received an at-large bid. We have 9 new players. When we are on from the outside we can play pretty well and are fun to watch. When we played Wake Forest a couple of weeks ago we were up 41-5 at one point. But we only won by 26.
Last week we were down 22 to Rutgers with 10:30 left and got the game even with under a minute, but lost.
Momo Jones can score and Sean Armand can hit 3s (he had 10 at Madison Square Garden last season against Siena).
The problem is that we have no real inside presence. That should change come next week when David Laury becomes eligible. We won't see just how good this team is until 2013. We will be competitive and may even win our tournament, but we will not get an at-large this season.

Georgia, who most everyone has admitted isn't that good this season, is a totally different story.

And VCU makes the tournament annually UNLIKE Alabama. VCU is probably easily a better team right now, and them winning just confirms that.

So in closing, you have a capable and fairly talented Iona team with a history of recent success that beat a dreadful UGA team in overtime. And people want to talk crap about it. Ok.

I am not talking crap. I am happy to get out of Athens with a win. I do not know what the line was, but I would guess that Iona was the underdog.
