Are any UGA fans out there really pissed about this? What's the most intriguing game on that list?
I predict many noon kickoffs and SECN games.

Yes. Desperately need the AU game to get back on schedule (had to play @AU twice in a row during expansion)

meh, they are in the east, have a neutral game, and this is their off year for two of their rivalries

Auburn should be on the schedule for this year, but the SEC messed up the schedule and then promised to try and fix this. It hurts Auburn's schedule as we have both Alabama and Georgia at home in the same years. Sucks.

sucks for us as well, we have AL and UGA either in the same years, either home or away

Odd years are the worst in Athens plus that's when the SJW yankees come and ruin Athens for a weekend

It sucks. We are king of the noon kick-off though, so I wouldn't expect anything else really.

It's horrendous. There are a *ton* of people looking to sell their season tix this year on the usual channels... This was a really shitty byproduct of expansion for us. Our alternate years have UT, AU, and GT at home, so a bit more draw there at least. The pod approach can't come fast enough in my opinion...

Yeah I have AU friends who were telling me about this, but y'all still get LSU, Arkansas, and TAMU those years. While not as good as an Iron Bowl or Deep South's Oldest Rivalry, those are some good home games.

LSU is the only big revenue draw for the town. The big thing is in those years, the second half of the season is non existent at home.

I just wish they'd move it to nine conference games. That schedule is bad enough I'd be complaining to any administrator I could find.

Not sure how much that would help. We're already playing ND and GT OOC.
There are drawbacks to playing UF at a neutral site.

When South Carolina is the marquee home game you know that's a horrendous schedule.

To make it worse, it was coupled with a scheduled price hike on tickets and minimum donation for season tix...
The problem with 9 games is it just doesn't really address the underlying issue of not playing west teams often enough, whereas the pod approach ( roommate switch approach) is largely better for everyone.
With that approach, you get significant improvement even at 8 games, and if we decided to move to 9 at any point, it gets even better (perma-LSU game for UGA would be awesome).
