The PC assholes are trying to get rid of the name but we all know that it will always be the WLOCP.

I just wish they'd move it to nine conference games.
I am so ready for this. At least then we could schedule cross division games as home and away in back to back years and not have to wait a decade to play a return game.

But you know that there will be some major bitching when a team with 5 home games wins the division over a team with 4.

Yep. I'm fine with the pod system posted on the first page too. The current format is bad. South Carolina barely feels like a member of our conference in football because we haven't played them in so long.

And this is why the folks in the west laugh at the folks in the east when they rant and rave about "winning the east"

Mizzou will have been in the conference for 11 years before LSU plays in Columbia

Not necessarily... the roommate switch I linked to previously largely fixes the problem, and then *if* we decide to move to 9 games it just gets better. But it would take the SEC Commish having some stones the size of boulders to pioneer that kind of change.

Probably also need a lot of fans to stop buying tickets.

Pretty unlikely, just due to the rabid nature of SEC Fanbases... Maybe season ticket/fund donations drop, but I dunno if that would even be enough. The coaches aren't going to ask for it likely, so it's got to come from fans.

We still haven't played A&M and I think it's 2-3 years away

Looks like our home slate last year. That thankfully won't be the case this year - UT, LSU (thanks, Aleeva ), A&M, and FSU.
