Can't wait to watch this Saban disciple and Chaney combo destroy this program just like Dooley and Chaney did TN about 5 years ago.

UGA will regret canning Richt that much is certain.

National media's comments though.

More like two of the worst talking heads on ESPN and two of the worst mouth breathers on Atlanta sports radio (and that's a fricking hard title to lay claim to)

the rest of the league hopes so, so much for this to be true.

What will you do when it doesnt' happen?

I remember the same things said about a first time HC who had success as a coordinator with a major school who got here and tabbed an unheard of DC from western illinois. They proceeded to go 52-13 the first 5 years with 3 SECCG appearances and 2 SEC titles.

I would tell the kid good luck and go wherever you want. Life's too short to worry about one player.

This.

If coaches can change jobs to wherever they want, players should be allowed to transfer to any school they want.

What a pathetic news story this is because Smart treats transfers like nearly every other coach does. Richt was the Odd one.

SBNation had the only honest article I've seen on this subject. The headline was something like "UGA now just like every other SEC school"

The same media that bashed Richt for lacking the killer instinct to win big is now bashing Smart for being a hardass. Predictable, I guess.

Kirby said AJ can go somehwere in FL if he wants other than UF (which makes complete sense) or miami (I don't really get this part of it, seems odd to me).

Think about it a second...who's Miami's new HC?

I'm not retarded. I know who the coach is.

My point is it seems odd to prevent a player from going to the school where the coach who recruited him is. Miami isn't on our schedule barring a bowl game so it just seems like an odd school to keep the kid from.

He doesn't want players to go running off to Richt at the first sign of adversity. I disagree with the framework that allows Smart to do this but see why he would want to do so.

Biggest reach for clicks and ears I have seen in a while. Mike Green, Chuck Oliver, and the like can go frick themselves. Making this a Kirby issue when its a widespread NCAA issue. If you're pissed about the restrictions that's one thing, but blasting Kirby is unfair.

Kincaide is a joke and terrible to listen to... but Chuck? Come on man. He and Chernoff make Bulue and Kincaide look like idiots. Chuck is one of the best ones in the Atlanta area.

Gold medal at the Special Olympics and all that.

Chuck excels at being himself which is to say that he is the ultimate arrogant douche from Auburn. If he weren't the only one that seems to give a shite about college football more than the Falcons on 680's lineup (even though that station claims to to be "The College Football Voice of the South") he wouldn't even be worth listening to. He's the mediocre chick at a bar of ugly bitches like Buck, Kincaid, and Chernoff. I actually don't mind Steak, Sandra, or Finn but they tend to veer more toward soccer mom drive time talk than actual decent sports info.

Not seeing the problem here.

Kirby is being gracious by making allowances on tranfer restrictions.
It's his prerogative to put restrictions on him.

Themssss the rulesssss.

Go back to GT. You have another 9 years before you can beat us again.

I am confused about one thing, though. Are you criticizing UGA for handling transfers the way GT does?
