It's always crappy for a recruit to decomit, but he has to do what he thinks is best for him. Not even mad, because we ended up with KJ and in a better position with JuJu Lewis

this is completely inappropriate for Herbstreit.

It smells of partisanship, which doesn't surprise me about him in the least.

Did he call before he flipped or after to get the story?

Some "clarified statements" and "added context" incoming for sure.

So his family uprooting themselves to move to a town 30 minutes away from Athens right after he committed to UGA never had you believing he was going to sign with UGA?

There was always a chance, just said it wasn't surprising. The dude lived in 3 different states during high school. Went to like 4 different high schools. Was going to be suspended in Arizona. So they moved. If you want to ignore the ties to Nebraska then go ahead. Reading the Nebraska forums throughout the recruitment, its not surprising that he went there.

He’s effectively trying to insert himself into the competitive landscape and alter one program’s prospective outcome at the expense of another.

Anything he thinks will help the buckeyes

Raiola was a couple of years away from playing at UGA. If he wanted to play "year one" he needed to go to Nebraska, which he did. Doesn't bother me at all.

Its just weird that Herbstreit would want him to go to Nebraska unless he was just trying to drum up headlines.

It is weird, but the reasoning really doesn’t matter. An attempt to hurt one program and help another by someone is his position is unprofessional.

Our prized recruit is Ellis Robinson. QB wasn't an immediate need with Carson coming back and Gunner on the roster. Also, he is about to spend 4 years in college football purgatory so who really cares.

i don't care that much about the kid, but if this is true Kirby's last interview with Herbstreit should be his last interview ever.

I'm not a UGA fan, but this is not acceptable.

His father, Dominic, was an All-America center at Nebraska whose career ended in 2000 before he played 14 seasons for the Detroit Lions. Dominic’s brother and Dylan’s uncle, Donovan, is set to enter his third season in 2024 as the Nebraska offensive line coach.

Who does he think he is? He needs to be fired.

Someone who knows the family and would want his son to play for Rhule.

Nothing wrong with him expressing that opinion to them, even though it might piss off Georgia fans.

Exactly

Now with the 12 team playoff it’s going to be who can get more in it. SEC or Big 10? Pretty sure what side Herbie will be repping.

“A recruit” not “prize recruit”

Number one class anyway

He doesn't view himself as just a broadcaster, he views himself as the god of college football

Whats the full story? It doesn't make sense why a broadcaster would get involved in recruiting situations

Especially a broadcaster who didn’t attend either of the schools involved
