we'll see what happens Saturday, not sayin they are better talent wise, but you are talkin about mature senior QB's whose mistakes will be minimal, we'll see how many Murray makes!

If Mett could put up better numbers than 30 TDs to 10 picks this year and have a top 15 QB rating, then why in the hell isn't he starting?

did you read my posts, mans? I don't care how good Mettenberger is, Miles is not gonna start him over a couple of seniors that have proved their mettle, that's just the way he is. We'll see what Mettenberger does next year before annointed Murray over him.

so you can roll your damn eyes all you want.

I believe he can and will outshine Murray in this next game.

Personally I thought Mett would have been the better QB for UGA. From a passing standpoint he was better than Murray and still has some mobility. But, Murray when allowed can be a game changer with his athletic ability. I almost feel like it is splitting hairs to some extent, sorta like Lee and Jefferson.

I did read your posts and you are the one who said that Mett was better than Murray. If you had just said that there is no way to compare the two until both have played full seasons, I would have agreed with you.

Me too, but I can't blame Richt for booting him.

Agree with the passing assessment. I don't think he has very much mobility. Don't need it, though, if you have an arm.

To be honest, I don't think Mett would've started at UGA unless he was an extreme badass. If he was the same as or somewhat better than Murray, he probably would've ridden the bench. Richt is a loyalty guy. Murray was always the golden boy. Mett was an after-thought with known behavioral problems who was pimped out by his mother. A lot of people think Mett wouldn't have gotten nearly as much publicity if it wasn't for his mom. It pays to have relatives in the athletic department of a D1 school.

That being said, I still think he'll be a really good QB. No reason he shouldn't be able to start with a clean slate & turn himself around.

You fools are talking about Mettenberger as if you had even heard of him before Miles offered him a scholarship. Hell, there were numerous threads over here asking who the heck is Mettenberger. Now, you claim that a guy who hasn't played a down over 2 mediocre, at best, QBs is better than the best QB in the SEC. Okay. Cajun crack, its the best!

Have any you fools even bothered to look up any of his JUCO footage. he brought his team to the Championship Game and was highly recruited by the known Universe. The kid is talented and I am glad to have him here. Period.

just trying to post facts. i think murray is an all sec qb, but i think mettenberger will be better

Jerrard Randall will share time with Met. Randall will be a red shirt freshman. He's a dual threat QB in the Pat White mold, but slightly bigger stature. He as a great arm and very good running ability. I predict he will surprise many LSU fans and will be a stand out SEC QB.

the little time lsu fans has seen him he has a way better arm than murray and can read a defense. like i said no flame. we will see what murray is made of saturday

Don't group all of us together in this line of thinking.

He has a great arm and I think he will be better than our current two, leading to a much improved passing game next year. But I haven't seen anything yet that proves he can manage the offense and read a defense. We haven't seen him enough.

Because JL and JJ combined have 19 TDs to 4 ints, and Les really hates the ints.

Situation worked out well for both teams. Murray might not have had all those reps as a true fresh if they're splitting time so his development maybe have been delayed. Mett is able to come here and start next year with two years left to play with about as talented a team next season as LSU has ever had.
