What is your honest assessment of Mettenberger? What style QB is he and do you believe that he will be better than J.Lee/Jefferswag?

Was not going to beat out Murray. That said, he should run your offense fine.

i think he would beat out murray now. not a flame just my opinion. and murray is a really good QB.

My only response to that is, if he really had a chance to eat out Murray, he'd still be in Athens

Only got to see him play in two Spring games, and he was very impressive the second time around. Throws a very pretty deep ball but, like Stafford and many other strong-armed QBs, he will make a lot of risky throws.
If Randle stays for one more year at LSU, that passing attack could be lethal.

Well, that doesn't mean it's bad news. Murray is a stud athlete and possibly the best QB in the SEC. If Mett is close I feel good....haha! I'm actually excited to see how Murray pans out against our D, he is an exciting player to watch.

the little time lsu fans has seen him he has a way better arm than murray and can read a defense. like i said no flame. we will see what murray is made of saturday

I'm not flaming here, sorry for the above comments. I am just hoping to have an above average passing attack next year to support our very stout running attack.

I know your not flaming...Truth is, no one knows ANYTHING about Mett since he has never played a full game in the SEC with the starters.
A lot of QBs are really good at practice, but are only meh on gameday...and vice versa
